  • @Juliaflo The Newsreel and the second feature?

  • Time for the pop quiz--What came after Flower Drum Song? Good luck.

  • EBRO MUSIC TRIVIA: 1958 U.S. Notable Hits and #49 with 1 week on British Charts in April 16 1960

  • Love this! Thanks!

  • preferred the Broadway music more.

  • @bsciancalepore This IS the '58 Broadway music! She was not involved in the movie. Bing Crosby hooked her up with RCA in '57 from whence her great talent landed her this role. Of note: She & her family, as Japanese-Americans, were 'interred' in a 'relocation center' (that means in a prison camp, actually) in Colorado until the end of WWII. Watch Hogans Heroes & laugh, but we put 110,000 Americans in camps like that back then, sad commentary on America, land of the free. Young people should know.

  • it's nice to hear the original version not in the film for a change. I like both. Thanks a lot!

  • Thanks for sharing this. Oddly enough, I liked that there was a "skip" or three in this recording as it reminded me of the "old days" of playing records.
