This is as far from the nature of a Haiku as you can get. Satie was more like someone who could claim to write with a Haiku feel. This sounds like an exercise in harmonic concepts...ones which I'd never want to use.
Sorry if I came across as a tad judgmental, but there are specific names for certain tunings and such and I had never heard somebody explain the tuning in that way. I'm assuming it's a major 3rd down from standard and standard is in E so since a major third is is 2 whole steps, 2 whole steps down from E is C so that's where I'm getting this from. I assume you know that though, just making sure.
@Fluffypopcicle I think the real issue here is that you think 'down a major third' "sounds all fancy".......its fairly simple really.... a major third is an interval.... and down means down...
I don't think it sounds all fancy, I just never thought any experienced guitarist like the guy here wouldn't know how to pronounce alternate tunings the standard way. I have met some people who try and make really simple things sound complicated to sound like they're smart, I wrongly assumed that's what this guy did. Key thing being that it was a wrong assumption, now please leave it alone.
amazing

"down a major 3rd sounds easier to me than "standard C".

@Fluffypopcicle It's just a result of my being old and clueless. I'd never heard the term "standard C" until today.
