Cool collection. I'd love to see a review of one of the Dragon Quest games. If I didn't love it, I'd donate my Dragon Quest 7 copy to you. Dark Cloud is another great game you have. I prefered 2 though. And I wish they put DQ games on the Virtual Console or PSStore so I could download them. All FF games released before 10 except 3 and 4 are on the PSStore and alot of other rpg's are there, too.
I hope you don't mind me commenting on your website's list, but as an Ultima fan I have to point out that Ultima IV on the NES was hacked down. The into is mostly missing along with half the moral choice questions. Also gone is the keyword dialog except for a few characters and the visible monsters on the map. The game is simply smaller than the original and suffers for it.
By comparison, the SMS version is twice as big and far better. It's streamlined, but without removing content.
@Priest4hire Oh yeah, I know the Ultima IV NES is quite different than the original version. I think I might have mentioned that in my 'history of JRPGs' video.
I actually think it'd be interesting if you reviewed The Hobbit, I played the game in middle school and liked it, but looking back it was very flawed.
@MegaShadowrunner ou mean the PS2 game? I bought it thinking it might be an RPG but it's just an action adventure game. I may mention it in the future but an indepth review on it would drive me insane. I managed to play almost to the end and then just couldn't take it anymore.
I still remember playing Thousand Arms for the PS1. This rare gem was one of the very few games that actually succeed on the comedy side for me. I still remember laughing so hard when playing this game. Fun enjoyable experience but i never really beat this game for some reason. I guess its time we give this game another chance.
I love hearing people claim the old Resident Evil games are the best. My personal favorite is the remake of the first game for Gamecube. While they are fun, 4 and 5 just aren't as good. The atmosphere isn't immersive at all.
Nice collection, but do you ever wish you had complete copies with boxes and cases? I know it bugs me so much that when I purchase a game I make sure it comes with everything including manual or else I will not pick it up. I even have a collection of manuals in case I find a game without one I will be ready lol.
@cruz88si Yes, I much prefer a complete copy of a game over the Gamestop boxes with no instruction manual. But I've been trying to focus on picking up titles to review so unless I'm going to show the box or instruction manual, I haven't been as concerned.
Yeah RE2 was a great game, the best of the of the ones all in that style. I never quite got why they remade the first game like 10 times yet never did yet all they didn't do too much with RE2 even though it was the best selling game in the series.
@jfreedan To each his own I thought it was a fantastic game. I liked the twist in the story like how at the end the rebels weren't mavericks and that The Maverick Hunters had been used. It was a little dark but it was a twist that hadn't been done in the Megaman series. I'm also glad to see its going to play a role in Megaman Online.
Why do you have Shinging Force Neo haven't you heard that it has some of the worst voice acting ever in an RPG. Speaking of which what do you think about voice acting in many RPGs that are translated from Japanese do you think the English voice acting as the only option ruin part of the experence?
@EdwardElric555 Just because a game has bad voice acting doesn't mean I won't buy it. I do, after all, have Legend of Alon D'ar. As for bad voice acting and ruining a game...well, it surely doesn't help but it's common enough that I'm mostly immune to it by now. And you generally see poor voice acting in older titles, not so much the new ones.
Dang, thats a nice collection (although I'm sure you got pissed off when you figured out that some of your games were bootlegs). I wonder if you can review Breath of Fire 2 (maybe even do a series review).
@ThatRedMageDude I want to do a series review on the BoF games, as I've beaten all of them (aside from the recent cellphone games). I'm holding out until I have all the games.
Some of the games on your list could probably be gotten off downloadable services like steam or PSN. I actually own the legend of dragoon and tales of symphonia and they might be 2 of the best RPGs I've ever played. The Witcher and Star Wars KOTOR could easily be gotten off steam for 20$. and 10$ respectively. The PS1 Final Fantasy games, Legacy of Kain :Blood Omen and Suikoden are all on PSN. I'm sure you know this but just in case.
@80MaxWell08 I dislike PSN and Steam. I prefer to actually own the game for real. Games on Steam and PSN are only accessible until the servers go down. They claim they would disable the need to authenticate if they take the servers down but I personally have no faith in that promise. According to the user agreements they are NOT required to keep the servers up or disable authentication of games. Basically you are renting the games for a number of years and don't really "own" them.
@jfreedan Steam does allow you to back up your games. There are even ways around the DRM. I do like Steam for there good deals. Its a big reason I started PC gaming.
@jfreedan Well to each his own I suppose. I would honestly lend you some of my games if I wasn't so fearful of what might happen to them. Tales of Symphonia is perhaps my favorite RPG right up with KOTOR and Jade Empire (I fully realize Jade Empire has very little RPG elements but its still fun for me.) Legend of Dragoon looks like its in bad shape already and The Witcher still has some problems even at all patches.
Once when I finish the games I want to collect for this generation, Zelda Skyward Sword, I want to make my own video of my collection.
But so far, I have around 30 Wii, 17 XBox360, 17 PS3, 16 PSP, 16 DS and 20 Japanese PC games that have been translated into english.
That is only just this generation collection I have. Earlier gens I only ever had Nintendo formats (N64 and Gamecube and Gameboy/GBA) so I apprecite all the games you have saved up for. Your collection is bigger than mine.

Hmmm interesting, you are a Megaman fan but you don't have Command Mission? Did you sell it? Didn't like it? or just couldn't find it?

@ChaosDirge I don't own Megaman X: Command Mission. I rented it when it came out and didn't really like it that much.
