I always like when Polish sigh about white aristocratic Russia. First, they did everything to undermine and destroy it. Now, they sigh... Polish are always in white, Russians are always in black... This is the mentality.
Exquisitely tender waltz, yet sung in an engaging way. Thank you for the lovely culinary pictures (from the early 1900's?...), adding sophistication to this post.
This is like the most profond dream I had...Someone has said that this is look alike a Fabergè art jewel...maybe it's so...maybe you can create gems with the sole fascination of sounds,images,sensations..you're a blessed..you have the Beauty sense!!!!
You have created an exquisite "Faberge Jewel" and presented it. Thank you for the beautiful prints and the divine Russian waltz. I now know that I absolutely must make St. Petersberg my next destination. Spasiba.
There's something very appealing about the sound of recordings from the late 1920's and early '30's. As usual, fascinating graphics. Thanks for this posting.

This is not only "mentality" - this is an inferiority
complex of those who cannot see themselves
in other colour - than black.
Perhaps... a dozen of videos on this channel
devoted to Russian culture and tradition would
be some help (?....).

@slawayaru I'd say it's more of a "the grass is always greener on the other side" sort of mentality.

Devon'ka instead of Devochka in this context sounds so sad, so hopeless...
Thanks a lot for the song.

interesting combination of famous russian waltz and song "Devon'ka". Thank you. Beautiful rendition. I know this song only of Leshenko and Baynova.

Romantic and stirring. Engaging voice and delicate accompaniment. Nice czarist culinary cards!
