buster poindexter was an alter ego type thing, he also wanted to not be associated with the new york dolls and their failure due to heroin and stupidity. david wanted to go to the next level and proved that you could party and do just that, but it the heroin jinx that killed the dolls, he did not want to be associated with that....jerry could hang, but johnny couldent. hey man the facts r the facts.....

Does anyone know (for sure ... there is some misinformation on this) where this was filmed? It's not the actual MTV concert, is it? I ask because I think I'm in the video, but I've never been sure, and it's not like there's a closeup of my face. I think it was recorded at the Old Waldorf in San Francisco, and the guy who directed the video told me once he thought that might be the case.
