you set up you legos and sets, then you take a picture.

move the lego a tiny bit, then take another picture(like frames in a real movie) then you use some sort of editing software to make the pictures move really fast to make it look like motion

look at how many views the videos got. you see that advert at the side? if enough people who watch this video click that add then youtube makes money from the advertisers who pay them cash to put the add on a popular video. I'm guessing this guy got revenue from this because of how popular it is. Its like someone else filming the first landing on mars (not happened yet i know) and then you taking the footage and posting it on youtube and getting money for someone else's work
