I remember when I was a kid "Night on Bald Mountain" horrified me. Then I had to fight that thing on Kingdom Hearts. I remember getting my ass handed to me! But when I figured out the basics, the fight became rather simple. Anybody else notice how this and the Ursula fight were almost the same thing? But imo Ursula was more of an annoying pain, but this was more difficult.

Sadly Chernabog isn't that hard. His attacks are real easy to dodge except for when he makes the volcano erupt. Because of that attack though my Party was unconscious the entire fight.

Chernabog is a reference to the devil himself in his Christian form. His name means Dark/Back God. His wings fold like a heart in the game, and a big black heart is een briefly behind the door. I bet this was Chernabog testing Sora for their epic battle at the end of the series inside Kingdom Hearts itself while he drains the energy of Kingdom Hearts and the Princesses of Light to become all powerful because Xehanort released him to gain full power.

When I did this fight for the second time, all I did was stock up on ethers and go to the edge of the area. I kept curing people when they needed it, and let them do all the work. All I did was the final blow while Donald and Goofy did most of the fight. It took a while and it was better then doing it several times. Also,it was fun to see them get burned like five times XD

I had to face him so many fricking times. A method to beating him is, at the very beginning of the battle, to summon tinker bell by landing on his shoulder. She'll help take care of your HP. If you get used to his attacking pattern (IE: dodge his horrible flaming inferno of death) and stay behind his head for most of the match, you should be able to win.
