  • @spinceara Thanks!

  • people say that you cant drink or eat any sweets with Invisalign but does gum count as that too?

  • @NotUrAverageChics103 I drink sweet tea, coke, etc with mine in. I do try to get to a bathroom soon after to rinse them out and/or brush my teeth and aligners. I've also chewed gum with them in. The gum did get underneath my aligners and I had to take them out to get the gum out. I'm sure some orthodontists may cringe when they read this because I think they worry about tooth decay. I don't make a habit out of it though.

  • how much is for teens? and where is this at?

  • @WildMonkey023596 The cost varies depending on the treatment prescribed by the orthodontist. You may have different issues with your bite or alignment than I do. Mine were around $5K. Dr. Carter has three locations: Evans, GA; Aiken, SC; North Augusta, SC.

  • @JustinDavid1997 The filing of the attachments was uncomfortable for me because my teeth are so sensitive. My gums are receding a bit which makes my teeth more sensitive. The technician had to be extra careful around my gums so she wouldn't strike a nerve. When I had my second set of attachments, it didn't hurt at all. The pain is bearable and only lasts a few seconds. Your new smile is definitely worth it.

  • its amazing the technology we have today cause they have to make these trays for millions of different set of teeth a day it looked very difficult to put on ur tops and I think imma have a difficult time on the top cuz I have one of my fronts real cruckit however u spell it lol

  • @BRONXPEPE Yes, it's not easy at first but it gets much easier after the first set of aligners. I use my fingernails to get underneath the aligner to pop it out. Needless to say I'm ruining my nails. :0) I've had my aligners in for about 18 months and it's a peace of cake now.

  • does it hurt to get the attachments off

  • @taraannbigeault The only thing that "hurt" was when they sanded the leftover attachment off. They use something like wire cutters to cut the attachment off. Then they "sand" off what's left. My teeth are slightly sensitive so the sanding would strike a nerve sometimes. It only lasts a few seconds and really isn't a big deal.

  • I have very similar teeth than this lady, an underbite on one of the sides, is there any video that I can see how her teeth look at the end of the treatment??? thanks

  • @wapitikimiki I'm still going through treatment and should finish around March 2012. I have some photos on Dr. Carter's blog. YouTube won't let me post the web address though. I'll put it in the description of the video for you.

  • some of my attachments broke off haha shuld i contact my dentist

  • @SleepyGiggles21 Yes, you should always call your Invisalign provider when your attachments or aligners break. They will tell you what to do.

  • @SleepyGiggles21 Yes definitely call your dentist or orthodontist to have that checked. The attachments are helping your teeth move into proper position. If you let that go, your treatment may take longer. Good luck!

  • thats the only fucked up shit, these attachments :S thats the reason why people knows thats somethings wrong with my teeth

  • i have a question, can this help to fix gaps in teeth, and does it hurt, cuz my sister wants to get it but shes scared, also she has a cavitee lol, will this affect it???

  • @0Jenni1 I had a major gap between my two front teeth which Invisalign has almost completely corrected. You can look at the video description to find the address to my blog and view some before and during pix.

  • Ok please reply to this because Im very scared of metal braces and like my parents arent sure if invisalign is right for me cuz like my front top teeth arent touching the bottom teeth so can invisalign fix that? And also will it always be that hard to put in as in how she kinda had trouble at first trying to put it on her teeth will it always be like that or will it get easier?

  • @TwilightVids4Life The only way to know if Invisalign is right for you is to consult with an orthodontist. Most offer a free consultation to let you know if you're a candidate. Dr. Carter is an Elite Preferred Provider. You want to look for that because they do a lot more cases than a Preferred Provider. Dr. Carter can treat patients who have been told by other providers that they aren't a candidate. And after the first couple of days, it gets much easier to insert/remove the aligners.

  • @TwilightVids4Life There are some cases that can't be treated but the only way to know is to visit your orthodontist. Dr. Carter provides a free consultation to let you know if you're a candidate. If you go to the Invisalign website and search for a doctor near you, try to pick an Elite Preferred doctor. This means they have done more Invisalign cases than others and will be most able to treat tough cases.

  • @TwilightVids4Life It was only this hard in the video because it was my first time. I've had them on for 18 months now and it's a piece of cake.

  • Holy shit i hate the sound of that drill on teeth lol

  • Im getting Invisalign braces, also, in about three weeks. I figured I should check on youtube to see if it would hurt when you do all of this because I was scared, but it doesn't seem to bad. Thanks for this video! It really helped me alot.

  • @ApplePiELov3r That's great! I'm glad I could help. Metal braces definitely seem to be more painful than Invisalign. The first couple of days after you get them, your teeth will be really sore. Just take some Advil and it will take care of the pain. Then after that each time you get new aligners (every two weeks) you'll experience some soreness the first day or two. Again, Advil works wonders. And a little soreness is worth that great looking smile you're going to have in a year or two!

  • i don't really get it.. isn;t that supossed to be a retinor or wtvr they're called.. but i'd never seen this invisalign attachments...

  • @LillyJaaaneth Invisalign does look like a retainer, except you wear them all the time, except to eat and brush your teeth. The attachments are "glued" to your teeth and fit into "bumps" in the Invisalign aligner. They help rotate your teeth into proper position. It's really cool and way better than metal braces!

  • do the attachments get off after ur done ur process just wonderin

  • @varun765 Yes, they do take the attachments off after the treatment is over.

  • @CarterOrthodontics will they take off the attachments when the teeth are straight, i mean like before the entire treatment is over? or do u have to keep the attachments on the whole time?

  • @ShishaPrincess The attachments will come off once the treatment is over. They help rotate the teeth. So yes, they will be there the entire time. But it's only a year and it's much better than metal bands!

  • good video! it answered some questions :)

  • @cokiejrs Great! Let me know if you have any more questions. I'd be happy to help!

  • @MizzSexxyLette69 I think the price ranges depending on the treatment and the orthodontist. I'm also using Invisalign Teen instead of Invisalign because you get up to six free individual aligners if you lose or break one. My cost was around $5500 which is very close to the cost of my two teenagers' metal braces. I've been so happy with the progress. I can already see a huge difference in my teeth.

  • Melissa, I can't wait to see your new smile! Thanks for sharing this with all of us!

  • @DianeDay944 Thanks, Diane! Hopefully I'm educating someone out there about Invisalign. I'm always shocked when someone tells me they have never heard of Invisalign! I'm really excited about my new smile!

  • does it hurt getting it done ? and insersting ?

    im getting this done soon

  • The filing of the attachments hurt. Since my gums are receding, my teeth are really sensitive. Sometimes the vibration of the filing would be too close to the gumline and would aggravate the nerve. I would let the clinician know and she would stop immediately. I kept reminding myself of the beautiful smile I'll have in a year. Inserting & removing at first is hard. My teeth were sore the first day. But I've had them on about 10 days now and I've gotten used to inserting & removing. Good luck!
