banks own the biggest buildings in town...but never started any war.....
my ass..how does austrian hitler have people paying for bread in wheel barrels and then 10 years later takes on polland, russia, france , and england??????
What i thinks is also cool to see in this vid is when you look better at the black hawk as the dude walks aroud it, you see (special?) air intakes and exhaust covers, does anyone know if these things are an "add-on" or does it come with this type of UH-60??
those are ibf's. basicly they are just big k&n filters that we put on the engines to try to keep the dust and dirt out of the engines. and they may look cool but they are a pain in the ass lol
Ah, ok, I already suspected something like that. And the exhaust covers (1:50) ? > lower IR signature?
I like the black hawk, think it looks cool, specially with those wings and external tanks on it. Only we (The Netherlands) don`t have `em, we`ve got our cougars and chinooks for trooptransport by helo.
lol..thats awsome. im a crewchief for a medivac unit and we had a birdstrike that left bone fragments imbeded in the nose of the helicopter for months. and no matter how much we scrubed and scrubed the impression in still there lol
One Helicopter out of sixteen was close to running out of fuel about 1.5 miles south of the polish airfield. THe UH-60A had to "PL" in a muddy dirty area. Still Pictures are amazing. We had to use water jugs as a portable fuel tank and made numerious trips flying back and forth to refuel the stranded aircraft.
Hillbillies can join the military duty or are them just compound of them all? I never see a nice talker in US Mil videos. It's just r r r r r r r r r and rs Rs Rs Rs
Iraqi birds are idiots. Most birds dive to get away from the plane, Iraqi birds climb, right into the flight path. When I was over there in 91, a flock flew up, right into my path. I hit 3 birds, one of them went about 1 foot further left than this one, taking out the whole chin bubble and filling the cockpit with feathers and a god awful stench.
Neat trick...Old Birddog is a good workhorse ...Getting that slow I guess would be good if you had to go down. A lotta flap on that thing as I remember..
Believe it or not its real! I have tint on one of my windows, and its very reflective, so you see the trees in the windows, one day a bird hit the window, and it looked just like that, just without the blood.
Once the M-240D was fielded in Iraq to all Aviation Helo's requiring a door gunner (UH-60/CH-47) June 2005 there was no need to attach/install a brass bag and/or a deflector to the LEFT SIDE M-60D Machine Gun. I loved that new gun. Amazing best item the U.S. Army ever purchased....
The bags are to stop the brass falling into something people find useful ... engines or suchlike. If you'd feel safe in a copter with casings and links flying all over the place whilst the engines are operating good luck and godspeed!
The brass falls down and away! The rotorwash alone pushes the brass and links far from anywhere near the engines...the brass bags are a waste. I felt plenty safe "flying all over the place" in a "copter" with casings flying everywhere.
Thank you so very much onnlie irntneet Eilsgnh techaer for ctnerirocg my minor giraatmamcl eorrr rtaehr tahn aisednsrdg my vrey vaild agrumnet, aohgluth vrey plotie it aslo swohs that most corenviavtess flal in the smae coecgaaritl cotnntuicsey as Terry Sivho, 'The Brain Dead'
Your "vrey vaild agrumnet" is that "even the local wildlife doesnt (sic.) want us in Iraq ..."(?), you're right, that would be a tough-one to address; too deep for The Brain Dead. (BTW, I thought it was a spelling error, but if you're saying it was a grammatical problem, you really need to avoid discussion of politics until you get the fundamentals down ... like words and stuff)
yes your absolutely right, I really should learn to spell and write properly before posting anything on the internet, incidentally I should learn to speak properly before moving to the ghettos of Chicago.
Birds are naturally dusty. When a bird hits a window, they leave markings like that. I have had a bird hit a mirror and it looks just like that. Tis the way it is...
140 knotts, impact broke loose some of the paint from the honecomb nose door. Are unit over a 12 month period had over 20 bird strikes, causing damage in the hundreads of thousands.
i cant even tell you how many times we have had to dodge bird here in alkut. we cruse around 140 and yeah its not fun watching them fly past my crew window under the rotor disk lol
You have got to be kidding. How fast was that chopper going when the bird struck it? I have never seen a bird leave white markings on any aircraft before. Are those yellow markings on the nose where the paint job got scratched?
It looks like a good paint job...

Did he say an aircraft ran out of gas? Please tell me that was a Polish aircraft. Otherwise the only excuse -- combat damage caused a leak.
