  • Hearing you say pumpage is cool, Dave's Farm rocks. Turns out 69 Corvettes came with a bi-metal spring on the manifold with a rod that attaches to the choke of a Rochester Quadrajet ( I prefer Rotten-chester Quadra-junk). The manifold has probably been changed on that beast and it probably lost it's Quadra-junk a while ago, so it has no choke just as you stated. They do make carbs with electric chokes or a manual choke that would bolt on, it would make that car SO much nicer to start.

  • Doesn't that have an electric choke? I'm thinking it did at one time, if it still does then either the coil is bad or the choke is WAY out of adjustment... If it doesn't have an electric choke it OUGHT to have a manual choke because that car is a pig without it. Talk about your cold blooded beast!

  • @queenofyeay Choke just doesnt seem to function, no wires or choke cables to carby either. Just gotta pump it ! Then it warms up and idles fine..

  • Nice Ride Love the muscle cars and davids farm LOL. sucks when you have no choke on a carb engine, cold engine don't stay running LOL

  • @killer84s10 yeah bloody grumpy cold pigs of things
