She seemed innocent enough in her questioning at first, but she should have realized that he really has some issues after he spent too much time focusing on what she first said about the title. He got defensive and started defending his prior work which he hated, but was not brought up at all by the interviewer.
He finishes his thought but then she does ask an "in your face" and confrontational question.
superb actor, but a ill tempered and arrogant man. his temper tantrums are just childish. he could never take others opinions. very insecure man. imagine the abuse his wives copped.
I don't think her primary goal was to provoke him, most interviewers tend to have this style, an attempt to get an angle or get the most out of something that's usually pretty measly. I agree that Kinski doesn't exhibit much intelligence. His ramblings are incoherent - he has no control over his temper or thoughts, & when he felt insecure about the interview he just deteriorated. His wife was probably sucked in by some charm no one but a few masochistic women can see. Kinski = my father.
She was just another obnoxious journalist. Not creative, not interesting, asking inane questions... He wasn't in the mood to talk to her in the first place and she nitpicked him unendlich. She is already forgotten and Kinski will be remembered as long as films and people exist.
@eunicelanna I have to disagree with you, Klaus Kinski is just hard to understand, I would never call him unintelligent, just because he gets angry doesn't mean he's unintellegent, he gets agitated very easily, and he has a brilliant mind, his work in movies and other things, like the jesus christ tour, are not always to be admired, but just shows how interesting someone like him is, I agree, he gets ridiculously mad, but the interviewer`s question are pointless, and she keeps interrupting him
I got two perspectives on Kinski. On the one hand it looks he understood an aspect on Jesus which only a few people got. Radicality. He was right to criticize people who do not fight for what they believe in. On the other hand he did not onderstand many aspects on Jesus, politeness and dealing with people which are common sense. A shame.
However he has overreacted, the reporter was definately just after a sensational story and not after what Kinski really thought.
This guy is a genius as an actor. But noone can deny he is mentally insane. All his ramblings in this interview doesnt show any intelligence at all. I feel for his wife though. She must be a little nutty herself.
shame he was talking interestingly about things and she was patently out to get him annoyed _ even this clip is called tantrum and he didnt really have one he just told her what was what as she wasnt really interested in talking to him properly or hearing what he said - provocation was the purpose it seems
He wanted to leave by six minutes in, and maybe earlier when he got stumped explaining his inspiration for the "Jesus Christ" piece. He got thrown by the first question (which was kind of cheap, but that's the press for you) and never recovered. At 6:40, fascinating to watch him set the interview on fire so he could get out of there.
ouch.

This is a very rare great man, and that is a very common annoying woman.
She wasn't smart enough to figure out she couldn't have no role in that interview.
