  • u cannot compare digital bullshit to real tube sound not the same i also have both

  • @1976Stratomaster I've had tons of tube amps, and the RP1K sounds pretty damn good through the loop using the power tubes. Whatever floats your boat. I like punctuation in my sentences, some don't, everyone is different. :P

  • Thanks for the awesome video comparing the two. The RP1000 through the Laney sounds really good compared to the actual 6505+. How do you feel about the RP1000 as a mobile practice tool? I know it's big, but it's smaller than the Pod XT Pro that I'm lugging around in a SKB 2U container, and it sounds a lot better than the Pod XT Pro too.

  • @godblesstexas Thanks! To tell you the truth, I don't really care for Digitech's cabinet modelling tech much. It sounds okay, I guess, but the unit sounds a lot better through a tube power section and guitar speakers. The GSP1101 might be worthwhile looking at, the newest beta updates have all the models of this, plus the option of using cabinet impulses.

  • hey m8... great tone... can you upload the settings for the rp1000 ?

  • @aris17561 Keep in mind this was tweaked to work with my Laney GH50L, which is a bright amp, running KT77 tubes. An amp with more lowend in the power section, or 6L6s will need some adjusting. Amp Model- PV5150II Cabinet- Direct Gain- 80 Bass- 7.0 Mids- 4.7 Treble- 5.0 EQ Bass Freq 100hz Bass- +7 Bandwidth- Medium
  • ICEDEARTH

  • wow, I was thinking the RP1000 was first because I liked the second one better and it had to be the real thing. LOL. RP1000 Rocks!!!!

  • It's hard to believe that the amp models in the rp1000 sound really good probably the best ive heard outta modeling amps except for the axe fx of course haha

  • is the gt-10 better???

  • @moneymoney220666 I had a GT8, and I would say no, it's not better. The GT8's high gain tones were nasty, the effects were nice though.

  • @tdaytona77 Do you think the GT8 effects are better then RP effects, or about equal? Nice video by the way.

  • @jonw82 I would say the effects the share are about equal, except for the harmonizer, which is better on the GT8. The GT8 has more of a variety of effects available, though. The amp models in the RP1K make the GT8's sound like cheap distortion pedals, on the other hand. lol

  • I was thinking of getting Bugera 6262 (copy of 6505+)... Anyways Blackouts are crunchy as fuck also :)

  • What a FUGLY sound of an 6505+ then :\ (not exactly, I just dont like crunchy tone, I perfer clear tone)

    +1 for Schaffer

  • @Xe0nLight Yeah, I turned the resonance down a bit right before recording because it sounded muddy to me in the room, then realized my RP patch was tweaked for the old setting after the fact. lol That amp is really crunchy anyways, part of what I liked about it vs the regular 6505. My buddy ended up with this amp actually, and I bought a Engl Fireball for my 2nd amp.

  • I guess the first part is RP and second is 6505+

I see an Iced Earth fan :)

  • @Xe0nLight Actually it's the other way around. lol 6505+ first, then the RP1000. Yeah, I'm a bit of a Shaffer fan. :)

  • @tdaytona77

Whats the point posting this if u dont even tell wich is wich in description?

  • @Woofspl Such a nice way to ask, watch the video again and maybe things will become clear.

  • @tdaytona77 lol it tells you what unit your playing through when you play it... that kid might be blind.. you never know.

  • @tdaytona77

There are millions of videos here. I dont have time to watch most of them entirely. Especially shit like this.

  • @Woofspl Yet you waste time bitching in my comments, STFU & GTFO.
