  • For those who don't like incubus now, well you are all morons... Incubus is always be Incubus no matter how they change their music style... Fungus Amongus up to If not now when? is great... They never disappoint me... and don't forget that they are one of the greatest bands in the world...

  • Because as we all know what makes a musician famous reflects what their greatest musical achievement is. This album is a contender for some all time great progressive rock/funk. Their new stuff will most likely not be remembered by most people for the actual music. Maybe a line they hold on to, or a memory they associate with the song. But as far as "Wow, that was some serious music being laid down" this album takes the cake. And the solo in 421 towards the end..c'mon now.

  • @captainshiner3

thats an opinion a lot of people would prefer their new stuff. this is very underground as far as incubus goes. i would agree its more fresh and unique as opposed to their new stuff as well as energetic and funky/heavy. but their new stuff is of its own. aqueous transmission proves their capabilities for sheer beauty. make yourself had great songs as well that were funky and deep lyrically.

  • @wwjd4someslayer See when you mention those songs I consider that their old stuff. When Dirk left and the guy from the Roots came in they lost that perfect chemistry. I always liked Incubus because they were one of the few bands that could blow me away with their abilities on Fungus and then release morning view and still make it just as satisfying. It's their NEW NEW stuff that just seems to be forgettable and lacks anything innovative.

  • @captainshiner3

i havent heard alot of their stuff after morning view, what i have heard i like but would agree its more pop as far as incubus goes. i had no idea the roots was their drummer now though, i actually love the roots so i might have to hear their new shit now.

  • awesome song...awesome record....awesome everything

  • What's the instrument called that's playing at the beginning?

  • @kiddoraelyn Satan !

  • @NearbyHermit Oh, damn >.^

  • @kiddoraelyn You gotta love this and Science !

  • @kiddoraelyn those are drums. then theres a bass, a guitar, and vocals. so as u can see its a very unique set up.

  • its just occured to me what ur talking about, its a just a generic digital effect if im not mistaken. whether or not im right , i know it can be recreated using a computer. i couldnt tell u what they used tho, prob just keyboards or samples or something.

  • @wwjd4someslayer At first I thought it was a soprano didgereedoo of some kind haha. Whatever it sounds good! [=

  • @kiddoraelyn it very well could be, idk. i'd google it or something.

  • This is back when they did a shit ton of drugs.

  • WHO DISLIKED THIS SONG???????

  • Just enjoy this! no need to type bullshit!!

  • one crazy ass song love the changes in tempo

  • this song sucks dick!

  • Absolutely love the beat to this song!

  • yall put too much effort into your comments.

we dont give a fuckabout your opions anyway

  • @xusne1 word!

  • dude anything and everything from Incubus is good. this song kicks so much ass

  • Thats a cool looking SHROOM.

  • @bl4cksunsh1ne Oddly enough the mushroom on the cover is a Fly Agaric Mushroom, psychedelic, but not a psilocybe as it doesn't contain any psilocybin or psilosin

  • My o My this song kicks some ass.

  • @localphenomena touche

  • "mustard drenched cucumber tied to my leg" spectaculous lyrics

  • Damn this is some groovy shit. Where have you been all of my life, Incubus?

  • @mtgowns1 Morning view!!! listen now you fool!

  • @DRExredsox23 Im so jealous of mtgowns1 to be able to hear morning view for the 1st time, I would nut my pants if I got to listen to it again for the first time!

  • @WildBillHickums Riiiight? theres was a vibe i couldnt explian when i was listening to all these for the first time..but you dont relize how great it is till later on lol

  • science & make yourself & morning view & light grenades & fungus amongus = Greatness at its finest!

  • also, is it just me or is 1:20-1:24 eargasmic? the first time i heard that i practically jizzed my pants

  • @guitarshredder68 science is their best album hands down. but light grenades is a nice 2nd and fungus amongus is 3rd in my book. but idc cuz its all incubus :D

  • Favourite incubus song!

  • Holy fuck sounds so much like mr bungle. Im fucking loving this.

  • Best part 0:00-428.

After that, it starts to reeeeally suck.

  • Cant stop listening to it lmao!

  • Rediculous.

  • @Saintgutfree524 rediculously smashin

  • anyone else here notice the primus influence in here?

    this stuff is great

  • I think, just like everything else Incubus is always changing just like we are - that's why I think some of us like the newer Incubus and others prefer the old one.

I love how I have to capitilize 'Incubus' like it would be wrong not to do so haha, wicked song - I wish I had the album but apparently they stopped making more of it.

  • I haven't heard this since high school...my god I am reawakened ....this shit makes me realize my true self again

  • to me each and every incubus album has its different values... id say that last 2 are the ones that almost sound liek the same band haha

  • this and morning view are awesome!

    everything else is awesome t00

  • in MY opinion, when dirk lance left the band, incubus "died".

  • @txarmander182 I agree, When Dirk left they lost so much of what made them amazing. I mean being a creative sounding band is great but I want music that fucking moves me, not music that makes me what to smoke some opium and discus how "unconventional" it sounds.

  • this is a good song. but its terrible live.

  • i've seen some vids on youtube and it does sound very empty live, they are true to their performance so they do what they can with the guys they have

  • ok yes i agree that this and S.C.I.E.N.C.E. are the best and most creative but that doesnt make the rest bad. light grenades was probably my least favorite but come on guys what makes incubus my favorite band personally is the diversity in every single cd they bring a different style to the table its intriguing and amazingly talented

  • Newer incubus albums sucks ass big time.....This and S.C.I.E.N.C.E are just pure Genius

  • this and s.c.i.e.n.c.e. are the best albums

  • All their albums are good in different ways. They chose to grow and develop. They would have stagnated and not broken through.

  • hmm idk wich album i like most. y does everyone diss lg so much? i thought it was great

  • but i really love*

  • i love all incubus' albums but i love s.c.i.e.n.c.e, fungus amongus and make yourself

  • Boyd sounds soo much like Mike Patton on the older albums.

  • I could listen to S.C.I.E.N.C.E everyday for the rest of my life, and fungus is just spectacular!

Make Yourself and Morning View are good but i really dont like there last 3 much at all.

  • Why don't most people who like the first two albums like the other albums?

  • think about it....

  • simple minded

  • new incubus is just mediocre? HA! their stuff after science is the stuff that made them famous. this stuff is good but nothing compared to their newer stuff. and if you don't like light grenades, its because you have to listen to it a couple times.

  • @guitarshredder68 commercially i would say make yourself and morning view made them famous

  • @guitarshredder68 thats just cause its more commercial not cause its better this stuff along with science is amazing just as there new stuff is. but i think this is better

  • @guitarshredder68 Or because they lost a lot of the musical quality and power that a lot of us grew up listening to in exchange for a more "creative" sound. That and they jumped on the whole "LETS BE POLITICAL" Band wagon after 2003.

  • @LcplMartin1986 well i can see where your coming from. I know they changed a huge amount from these albums to stuff like make yourself, so if your into this your not gunna like anything after science. I like all of it tho

  • @guitarshredder68 Its not that I don't like their newer stuff, its just its not as connecting for me. I LOVE Fungus-make yourself and morning view was decent. I own all their newer albums as well and listen to them occasionally.

  • @guitarshredder68

pssh their new stuff is fag mainstream music. their first 2 albums i have found to be their best (they are actually GOOD and original)

  • @StoopidGinger your completely wrong dude. They didn't come into their own until make yourself. I have science and fungus amongus and they are just a mixture of red hot chili peppers and mr bungle with a little more effects. Make yourself broke them away from the rest of the music scene.

  • @StoopidGinger their new stuff is attracted to other new stuff of the same gender.

  • @openheartzoo

    hahah!

  • @StoopidGinger missssed ma point, stoopid.

  • @guitarshredder68 You can say that again. I tend to not realize how great certain music is until about 6 years later :/

  • @guitarshredder68 Nah, it's personal preference. I love all their albums, but I'd take this over Light Grenades ANY day of the week. I agree, though, to extents. All of their albums have been substantially different. I've had to give all of them a few listens-through to fully appreciate them.

  • @guitarshredder68 If I don't like Light Grenades, it means it's not as awesome as this and S.C.I.E.N.C.E. (their best album)

  • @microwavableants yea, light grenades is far too much pop/main stream for my taste..

  • @guitarshredder68

Sorry, but I have to disagree with you, but it's your opinion though...

  • @guitarshredder68 morning view was their last good album

  • @greatestutuberhd I respectfully disagree.

  • @guitarshredder68 Sorry but light grenades was mediocre at best. Anyone who upped your comment is obviously not an Incubus fan from back when they first started making music. There's a reason they became famous, because they hired P.R. reps who started screening their songs and controlling a lot of what they released. If you listen to the new incubus, sure it still has the underlying anger towards society, and how fucked up the world is (greed, ego, stupidity, brainwashed, etc)

  • @guitarshredder68 but it has nothing close to the same sound and "don't give a fuck attitude as they used to. In their own words, "we sold out, but it was a shit load of money". The reason you people like their new stuff is the same reason why masses of people like Justin Bieber songs, the majority of humanity have mental deficiencies. In fact Incubus talks a lot about this in their old music. Go back to your Idiot Box and turn on MTV.

  • @guitarshredder68 In fact the only reason Alex left the band was because it went "mainstream" aka Sold Out.

  • @complex175 no. they evolved and at the same time went mainstream. they didn't sell out. have you ever noticed most bands start to mellow out as they progress? I write my own music and the same thing has already happened to me. People's interest in music change. Their first album was them just trying to be like old red hot chili peppers and mr bungle. It even says it in the pamphlet thing in the cd case. If they were to sell out they would not have the same unique sound that they have now.

  • @guitarshredder68 Dude you're joking yourself. Listen to RHCP and then listen to Incubus, they don't have anywhere near the same music. You obviously don't listen to LYRICS when you listen to music, which is probably why you like their new stuff. Did you even read what I wrote as well? It's all about substance my friend, and I don't think you will ever see that being the ignorant fuck you've become in this world. Go kill yourself and make it easier on us all.

  • @complex175 dude you dont have to be a fucking dick just because I have a different opinion than you. you make it sound like I dont like science and fungus amungus but I really do. It says IN THE CD PAMPHLET that they did this because they wanted to sound like red hot chili peppers. I obviously listen to lyrics, i'm a fuckin songwriter, though obviously not as good as incubus or anyone else. listen to 11am or talk shows on mute and tell me that they don't have great lyrics.

  • @complex175 dude you dont have to be a fucking dick just because I have a different opinion than you. you make it sound like I dont like science and fungus amungus but I really do. It says IN THE CD PAMPHLET that they did this because they wanted to sound like red hot chili peppers. I obviously listen to lyrics, since songs are nothing without good lyrics. listen to 11am or talk shows on mute and tell me that they don't have great lyrics still.

  • @complex175 Wow, bro that's really mature of you to tell him to kill himself. You obviously need to learn to accept opinions different from your own. I like old and new incubus. Honestly, if incubus kept making albums like this, I would have been tired of them a long time ago. It's your opinion if you don't like old incubus, but don't act immature and argue that your opinion is better than another. Music is subjective

  • @guitarshredder68 i love all Incubus songs. this is not mediocre. and who cares what made them famous?

  • @guitarshredder68 Fuck off. old schooal incubus will be always the best

  • @guitarshredder68 Technically, Morning View made them famous by means of MTV, but that was only amongus who like good music. Light Grenades made incubus famous among people with no need for a sense of originality tickling their ear drums and a musical repetoire consisting of radio and blind listening

  • @iCantRunFast Those are the words of someone who does not accept change. You do realize it is possible for musicians to evolve without selling out don't you? I am a musician myself. I used to play metal such as lamb of god and as I lay dying, now I'm writing acoustic john mayer type songs. incubus still leaves traces of science and fungus in their other albums. check out priceless or light grenades. Pistola is a great song too.

  • @guitarshredder68 I don't care if Incubus changed. Sure bands go through changes. Tool evolved into A Perfect Circle. I love them both even though they're very different. This Incubus Is far better than what Incubus is now. Try and find music like this. The only thing close is maybe Mr. Bungle and Primus. Try and find music like new Incubus, easy peasy. Just another band in the ocean full of mainstream, unoriginal mediocrity. I guess mediocrity is what some people crave

  • @TheFeignlife It's not mediocrity. Trust me I listen to a lot of music and there is no band like incubus. I think the reason so many people are die hard fungus and science fans is because its so different and so raw. But new incubus is just as good, just less obscure. They still have a very different sound. Find another band who will do songs like aqueous transmission

  • @guitarshredder68 Aqueous Transmission is amazing. Morning View is amazing. Light Grenades sucks

  • @TheFeignlife Light Grenades is great, kidd.

  • @guitarshredder68 What made them famous??? Fungus...... This is the first iNCUBUS I ever heard and was hooked.... Same with many bands of the time.... for example , I loved Creed after the first CD... but later they started blowing balls.... Staind is another... early shit, that got them famous..... Too many groups fall from their roots . . . . .

  • i love fungus amongus, sooo many good times with that album and strobe lights xD

all there albums but light grenades are amazing, love the style shifting, but fungus and science and when incubus attacks take the cake.

  • yes Fungus Amongus, Science, and Enjoy are the best INcubus others are just mediocre. but go look up some Mr. Bungle, everyone who likes this song should like Mr. Bungle

  • Fuckin eh....

I hate new Incubus , but their first 2 albums rocks my cock off.

  • ingenious

  • SO. FUCKING. BADASS!!!

  • This, my folks, is one of the greatest Incubus songs that your ears will ever be graced with hearing - be appreciative.

  • @carsonwilder sounds kinda like the red hot chili peppers

  • @Metal1998 No.

The red hot chili peppers sound like Incubus

  • @TikiKid No, I'm pretty sure it's the other way around... But I love this oldschool Incubus!!

  • best band ever

  • THIS is a good song. LOVE IT

  • This is the song that got me into incubus!

  • dude, no one posts?? what the... ?

    just AWESOME
