  • tyler is very good

  • Who is the lung kid with the pink start???

  • Nice Trane shirt :D .

  • Joe Bonamassas's Face 6:18-6:21 "HOLY SHIT" hahahahahah

  • i dont argue that the real bles titan is hubert, the guitar player titan is joe... but.... in this one... the kid... tyler bryant killed. The strat really smashed the les pauls... i think my fav part was that change in one second fro the 5 to to the first position....

  • huberrt and joe killed it... period...

  • Joe always sounds like he just had dental work done, and his mouth is still numb. Like if he took a drink of water, it would just dribble back out.

  • @iscreamninja LMAO...

  • @iscreamninja yeah i kind of wish hed form another band with a lead singer, i love his guitar playing but his voice isnt the best

  • @NintendoSinceBirth1 Look up Black Country Communion.

  • his voice is weird to me

  • I think the kid overplayed it, it was meant to be a feel piece, not shred

  • @superiff12 ???????? U consider that 'shred?!?' must B a generational thing...

  • @GtrDudeL Maybe dude, however in context his playing is great just over eager.

  • hubert's play was murky -- the good kind of murky. distinctive and understated and blue.

  • ...nice play'n & feel all over! white strat kid w/the "billy" hair too. Hub..rip man :- (

  • Say what you will, Joe's got it. No doubt in my mind. But hey, what do I know? I've only been listening to to blues and r&r since 1966. yeah, the kid ripped. no question. But Joe? well, he's Joe.The kid definitely ripped. But joe...was crisper. cleaner.. the kid will get there soon. But Joe? He's here and now. Lookin forward to seein him in Glasgow. I'm gonna travel from Monterey to Glasgow to see him. Joe? Play Monterey man! geeezzzzz. the things guys gotta do. Just kiddin. it'd be nice tho

  • kid w/ the strat & white coily cable killed it!!!

  • @GtrDudeL in a good or a bad way? cause clearly for me that was a GREAT way

  • @stevestizzy agreed - in the best way possible! He tore it up - bleed tone and style from his finger tips - kinda showed JB up a bit. : )

  • strat sound! <3

  • And that's what they call the blues, baby...

  • Fuck that Tyler Bryant kid is badass

  • joe is a great guitar player but apparently hes a douchebag. A friend said he was super rude and arrogant when he came in to the Sam Ash that he worked at.

  • joe's got a big ass head hahahahaha

  • Hey Joe why you gotta make it a point to step outa the back and give everyone else 8 bars while you play 38??? Watch Clapton and Buddy Guy and BB play, you don't have be the only one to shine up there pal... Lost a lot of respect for you after watching this... I remember when you used to play the Blues Bash in Pomeroy Ohio, get a grip.... Dick

  • @bidwellcoach It is Joe's set, after all.

  • @srvgravesdime Eric Clapton doesn't act like that, and it is his whole FESTIVAL after all...

  • @bidwellcoach Clapton's also an elderly British gentleman. Joe's trying to make a name for himself. When Clapton was Joe's age, people were already calling him "Jesus" and "God".

  • Elevator blues. A vague parody like mirror image of the genre.

  • i feel like joe bonamassa is a dick after seeing this cuz he like took up all the solos and barely let anyone else play

  • Wow!! this is why I listen to music, CRANK THE VOLUME!

  • young Strat guy just ended poor joe!! blew his ass off the stage good for u Tyler

  • R.I.P hubert sumlin :'( we will miss you!

  • i thought the guy with the strat was great!!

  • So funny when the kid with the strat is soloing and Bonamassa is looking at him all serious like "bah, amateur..."

  • @pini16893 Funny. Joe's face is more like "Damnit now I have to one up that." Tyler Bryant is pretty damn good. I've played with him myself. He's great.

  • l ho visto all hammersmith apollo di londra è stato emozionante...

  • How come it doesn't mention tyler bryant? That dude rips...

  • @oooscasianooo Is that the kid on the Strat?. Sweet solo...

  • RIP Hubert Sumlin

  • Dang! That first solo from Bonamassa was freakin great. This whole thing is amazing though...

  • Kto to gra po Jimmy Vivino ???

  • I was waiting for Robert Plant and Jimmy Page to Jump In and start "Since I been Loving You". Have a Listen to the live version and you will find similarities.

  • Comment removed

  • @PBANDSNOW Everything about this performance reeks SIBLY. The lights, the organ, the licks. Still freaking amazing.

  • Howling Wolf would let Hubert play with him until he got rid of his pick

  • What is the name of the song?

  • @MrViniciusz1 It's called Reconsider Baby.

  • Jimmies Top FTW

  • it's funny how the youngest is also the one with the best vibrato :)

  • Hubert's thinking: "Why all these youngsters runnin' scales? You sposed to practice at home before the show!"

  • @dafunk39 an throw away that fucking pick

  • loling at bonamassa trying to look cool but failing because he's a tool

  • @stairway2000 If only you knew how much of a fool you just made out of yourself

  • @ZoSo1620 you made me lol. bonamassa can kiss my ass he doesn't compare to the great blues guitarists by a long way

  • @stairway2000 Everyone's got their opinion. Claiming your allegiance to the greats doesn't automatically grant you a superior voice. They were great in their time but they'll be the first to tell you that they were only revolutionary and guys like Bonamassa carry on the torch to greater things. No one, not even the greats, touches me like Bonamassa and that's all that matters. 95% of your attachment to them is likely emotional insistence. You're naturally attached to what you first experienced.

  • @Fishies125 you're funny. i claim allegiance to no man! i listened to the newer artists before i started to go back. and i find that the further you go back the more passionate the music becomes. in my opinion bonamassa's style has no soul and it's like alll he cares about is showing off his ability rather than just making good music. i'm not saying that's what he thinks but that's what it feels like when i hear his music. you can be the most tallented musician and still make shit.

  • Fucking incredible

  • RIP HUBERT

  • the first time i saw hendrix playing the intro of killing floor in monterrey i was shocked... sumlin wrote that. i picked a guitar in consequence thanx to him. rest in peace mr sumlin

  • I shit my pants watching this...

  • To slashcool20: It's a slow version of Lowell Fulson's "Reconsider, Baby".

Hubert schooled 'em all with his easy playing and wicked bends. Simpler rig, too, instead of those Marshall stacks. I'm gonna miss him, but what a cat !

  • What's this songs name?

  • lol Joe at 6:44

  • R I P Mr. Hubert Sumlin, thanks for every tone!

  • R.I.P Hubert Sumlin

  • RIP Mr Sumlin...........Thank you for your art!

  • Gino Matteo Should of been in this.

  • I'm guessing Tyler Brant is the guy with the strat. His playing shows his youth. Still a great player but he has the same problem as Davey Knowles. Likes to get ahead of himself. Hopefully one day both these great players will learn some restraint. Tension and resolution are key in the blues. Bonamassa and Vivino know that.

  • Tyler Bryant's guitar playing gives me goosebumps...he's incredible.

  • 05:46 .............Perfection!

  • All what Joe Bonamassa plays is so exact..... it´s perfect.....SO NICE !!!

  • Comment removed

  • poor hubert sumlin he was just trying to relax then vivino left him in the dust

  • Vivino is playing an aged Michael Bloomfield signature Les Paul. Crazy.

  • joe is the best thing to come out in over 40 years in my opinion.

  • i don´t know his age, but in this clip, his solo was the best in my opinion.... over joe. and obviously i know joe is far superior. but in this clip, tyler´s solo went over all the others

  • i think that tyler has the potential to be huge.... because of the look, i tought he was another "jonas brother-like" product, but if you listen interviews he talks about old school blues... and definitely has soul when performing

  • his guitar is old but his soul is young

  • I get that Howlin Wolf is an icon, and a classic and everything else I certainly respect him and everything he's done, but his performance was absolutely frickin awful in this particular clip.

  • @andrewafuchs

he is from the old school.... in that times there were no shred spectacular solos.... it was more the voice and presence of howling wolf what counted... but man, the guy is a genious.... he composed killing floor... which is a song way advanced for it´s era.... it sent the bases for many genres, with hendrix help.

  • @andrewafuchs Without the style Sumlin is playing right now, we would have no Hendrix, no Page, No Clapton or Beck. Your listening to one of the first real players playing exactly the way he played so long ago.

  • Who's the young strat guy?

  • @dbf678 Tyler Bryant

  • @dbf678 Tyler Dow Bryant. Dude's a frickin monster! I love that he's shredding on a pink strat too haha

  • @dbf678 Tyler Dow Bryant from Texas

  • @dbf678

    Tyler Dow Bryant

  • @dbf678 Tyler Bryant

  • Funny that even these fancy Gibson Masters have to rely on a Fender amp to do their thing..

  • @dbf678 how is that funny? and Bonamassa doesn't use a fender amp.

  • every one here is trying to impress Hubert Sumlin

  • What song is this?

  • Mr Smith plays the blues!

  • Always hated the hell out of Joes singin man. No soul in his it. His playin aint bad though. By the way, I dont want to hear anybody bitchin cause you dont agree with my comment. Chill the fuck out. Its an opinion. Peace. -Cody Lee Meece

  • @9timesnine uhmm i dont agree cuz im a troll... just kidding hahah

  • @9timesnine

his playing aint bad? he's one of the best in the world bro

  • @infinityjet That's why I said chill cause ITS A FUCKING OPINION. Peace.

  • @9timesnine i dont hate it is a little weak though, id think hed benefit from forming a group with a singer where he was the lead guitarist

  • i am a joe fan, but he is not a blues titan... asthey always write..... a guitar titan maybe. Blues titan.... the man witha hat and a les paul special.... sumlin IS a blues titan

  • @hungerstriker27 i totally disagree dnt hate cuz your not in the vid

  • @hungerstriker27-Ohh, pleeze...JB isn't a "blues titan"..really. I and a whole bunch of others that PLAY blues, would disagree. He is BOTH a great blues guitar player, and a rock guitar player,....and a great hard rock guitar player. If he wanted to be...he has the talent and chops to be a world class Jazz guitarist.....

  • wots this song called

  • @miketrueman1

reconsider baby.... is from joe. And speaking of sumlin.... this is the man who was the right hand of howlin wolf. who compossed th riff of killing floor, smokestack lightning.... those whoinspired the rolling stones and the beatles to pick a guitar. The man is a legend and certainly is not trying to impress joe or anyone else.... maybe bb king

  • a legend

  • I think there are 2 kind of players. Both types are good The claton/Bonammasa type: their style is impecable, perfect poition of every note, they play, but they are planning the next move... and the hendrix/ SRV style.... less technycal.. they don´t plan every single note, and the do their solos improvising and following the mood of the moment. The kid for example is like this second type. I think is matter of taste. Both types are great. Hendrix maybe could combine every single style

  • @hungerstriker27 sorry for the typing...

  • i want this as an mp3!!!!

  • I love Joe but his new look makes him look like one of the agents from the Matrix. Love you Joe

  • that kid did a great solo. damn,

  • @socratesandlavagods

yes he did... great solo.... the best part was that beggining that suddenly pass fron the 5 to the 1 position.... I think it was the best of that three solos, by far... and I think he is a big promise just kike joe was in his time...

  • @socratesandlavagods

when I first saw this, before the solo, I tought....well, maybe is some jind of new jonas brother, now in blues, after the solo I did some research and he is very good. He opoened the shows of jeff beck and jam with him in some point of the concert... and he listen old school blues... he has future... and the pink strat, well, I like his attitude " I use a pink strat, so what?" He has a song named the habit or something... the music is amazing

  • This is some awesome blues!

  • the power comes from the glasses!!

  • Howlin Wolf!

  • Sounds like Dazed and Confused, kinda. Only better.

  • ok, obviously the best player here is joe.... but I have to say... from the 3 solos that start with hubert sumlin (He is a legend and he has nothing to proove) I think the kid played the most interesting solo.... and come o... he has a great tone too... give him a break... I think he doesnt have 20 years and he is sharing the stage with joe and sumlin

  • outstanding blues!!! great tones , great playing ,styles &great Blues!!!

  • This little boy is got good technics..

But he aint speaking the blues like it should be speak.

  • @MrAmitGendelman False, he killed it. You're just mad because he has a stupid haircut.

  • @MrAmitGendelman Hes just a boy, give him time to mature and he will become a legend. Don't forget he was playing with the best of the best of the blues preachers.

  • Joe... the king of tone!

  • I didn't know that tarantino plays blues now!

  • @thiagosantosbrasil actually Joe Bonamassa looks more lIke Woody Harlleson!

  • the intro is like : Since i've been loving you - Led Zeppelin

  • what's the name of the young fender guy? like his style

  • @TheJackStupidChannel Tyler Dow Bryant

  • bonamassa is in the bridge PU in tone 1?

  • Tears in my Eyes!!!

  • if you listen starting at 3:35, you can clearly tell who jimmy page listened to when he was younger

  • i know blues aint about the looks, that man playing the fender needs to cut his hair and buy a damn shirt that fits

  • Joe Bonamassa is a fucking hero

  • Thank you soo much for giving us these live videos!!!!!!!!!!!! They are why I keep playing guitar.

  • sumlin is a legend and he doesnt need to prove nothing to anybody. But the other guys are good, and despite you can see how they are making his greatest effort, joe doesn´t even try so hard to crashed them both.

  • Bonamassa is a beast.

  • @moneyquickeasy .....yea, i saw him in Boston @ the regent theater...incredible player..

just an amazing guitarist. he's so down to earth

  • @moneyquickeasy Si si si... pero el negrito hubert tiene el alma emborrachada de blues. Joe lo aprendio; Sumlin nacio dentro del Blues

  • Comment removed

  • What does Herbert Sumlin have to prove. He helped create the blues that Bonamassa just copies.

  • Whos the Kid with the strat!!!!????

  • @NJBOY96

tyler dow bryant... amazing solo and tone... and I didnt knew that even in pink a strat it´s stil gorgeous

  • In fact I think that the solo of the pink strat guy is amazing. But in blues, sometimes (Most of the times) less is more. But it has an amazing tone.

  • @hungerstriker27 Well said. Not to say anything against any player - but that's what made Peter Green for instance, the guitar-man to 'make BB King nervous'. It's what that guitar says when it speaks, not just that it can talk fast like an auctioneer, be played with teeth or behind the head (though teeth behind the head would be interesting ;>), but that it expresses something.

Someone can play chirpy excited guit, but if the singer just sang "I feel so down", then that just ain't right!

  • @mahatmacote

I agree man. Search the bb king blues solo winner in the king of blues 2001. It´s not hard to learn. But that feeling..... it´s incredible. Just BB King.

  • I love both my les paul and my strat. Even if it´s pink. But in the aspect of look, nothing compares to a flame maple top les paul. What a beautiful guitar.

  • bernardomfg: You're nuts! The kid is AMAZING!

  • @Scarbantia71 what i think he is saying is he is not playing the blues and to be honest he is not hes more of a shredder and rock

    but ya he is good

  • I'm sorry, but that guy with the pink guitar doesn't have the blues.

  • @bernardomfg

yes, but he can play better than you... I bet that

  • @hungerstriker27

Couldn't care less about that. Really.

  • So Joe is playing a Peter Green set-up guitar, and Jimmy is playing the Mike Bloomfield sig. Silly.

  • I noticed that Joe's rhythm pickup is in backward to put his guitar's mix out of phase (it cancels the guitar's low-end when both pickups are used). Either the man knows what he likes mor his guitar tech is incompetent- not sure which. It's an odd thing to do, but very cool if it's intentional.

  • @guitartec Correction, the pickup flip doesn't change the phasing, you have to go into the pickup and flip the magnet. The flipped pickup does the same thing the mismatched knobs does, makes it look more like the Greeny Burst.

  • @NathanBellSax Oh, I figured he flipped the polarity. Guess I should have listened to the video. huh?

We've been experimenting lately with flipping magnets in pups in our shop.

  • fuckin nice voice!!!

  • because corn is good for you.

  • am i wrong or bonamassa is playing peter green/gary moore out-of-phase les paul???

  • @quebecgold80 No its not the exact guitar its just a 59 reissue that Joe's tech made to be like the Peter Greens Les Paul. Joe talks about it in one of his rig walkthroughs on Youtube

  • @mrtwitchylizard thank you very much for the info.

  • Hear alot of Peter Green in Joe Bonamaasas playing, anyone else? :)

  • @SavantSvant damn son, you really are a dolt. joe couldnt pick the corn out of Greenys shit.

  • @TheInboil But why the fuck would he wanna pick the corn out of Peter Greens shit? Youre a fuck!

  • joe, you suck. absolutely no voice, and a bore of a player. damn

  • @TheInboil asshole.... apparently you cant spot a guitar god when you see one...

  • @bluesmaster94 bluesmaster. ya, keep listening to joe--youll be a master. blaghagahahahah!! A guitar God, sir, is Danny Gatton, Charlie Christian, Peter Green. joe, is a riff machine. History will have no place for him, or you; a turd, who cleans his mothers poop trolley with his guitar string stubs. keep rocking that strat bluesmaster--i know you got one.

  • @TheInboil Someone is jealeus, why dont u fuck off to some other vid if this is so horrible.

  • @SavantSvant i am jealous. of your mailman, as he gets to bang your mom repeatedly in the chute while she rocks out to joe.omg, im a fucking genius.

  • @TheInboil I absolutely disagree. When you think Joe Bonamassa has no voice at all, you should go and watch his performance @royal albert hall

  • what a good version of reconsider baby, a lot of feeling

  • Hubert is probably twice most of these cats age and still blows them all out of the water.. You don't need a lot of notes to play the blues..

  • I love love love C minor blues

  • all generation of guitarist for an amazing sound !
