IMO-He makes it seem too easy.. that A Flat/or G on "Became" needs to be connected to a an agony/regret...didn't do it for me...sort of like hearing a tenor sing 'Music of the Night'. Yeah he sounds great but it's really an actors song. Though, he is a great actor. Not sure what happened here.

I'm absolutely with you on this. He's got a pretty voice, but there's no emotion there. For those who disagree, check out the Douglas Kreeger version. JLY is a great technical singer in this clip, but he doesn't show the heartbreak that Marius is feeling.

I'm going to have to disagree with you guys on this. I mean you're entitled to your opinion, but I really get quite a bit of emotion in this. "Phantom faces at the windows..." almost brings me to tears in this video, and it did bring tears when I saw it live.

My mum loves him, but my brother and I call him the ruiner of songs. His vibrato kills me! Sometimes its overdone...but then again, in some songs he sounds good.

But yeah, everyone is entitled to their opinion.

John Lloyd Young has such an amazing voice!

He sounds amazing! I could isten to him sing all day! in Jersey Boys it sounds like his voice was just MEANT to be there and here it just sounds like its supposed to be there as well!

John was incredible-the whole cast was. I knew he won the Tony but I had no idea how talented he was until Sunday. I met him afterwards- such a nice guy. He was very quiet and sweet.
