  • Don't know if anyone already said it but you play the chorus riff diffrent then the original...

Did you know that or is this how you think it would???

Just for me to know ^^

I play guitar also and if you listen really good you can hear the guitar with a palm mute in the chorus.

  • @manslayer8132 There are 3 guitar parts going during the chorus. The two harmonised lines, one of which I am playing, and the third, palm muted part that you are talking about.

  • @juliancscs The galloping part might even just be the bass, it's hard to hear the lower frequencies.

  • @juliancscs Even the harmonised lines you try to play are higher.

    they are in tabs: A10 D9 - A9 D7 - A7 D5 - A5 D4

I use the normal tuning to make it easier.

On the original it's the same fret.

  • @manslayer8132 Are you still talking about the chorus? I'm not playing any harmonised lines during that part, just the underlying chords. Finding a tab on the internet does not mean it's accurate...

  • damn he got me with the circle game... if u look at his right hand he gets to punch you lol

  • mean

  • nice one iced earth rule!

  • that is some sick playing good job u nailed it !

  • THIS IS EXTRA!!!

  • Sounds like tubes!

  • great job man! rock on. \m/

  • Damn I love your tone! Sounds like the real Iced Earth band!

  • You got a wicked nice setup man

not many people ive seen have the actual Icebuckers in their guitar

I want them but i dont have $370 to spend on pickups

  • So I guess this answers if the Axe-FX can do metal...can you explain your setup with it? Do you have this going direct into a mixer or computer or are you miking a cab? I play a lot of thrash/sludge/death metal and I'm thinking maybe I should sell my hot-rodded Marshall clone and get an Axe-Fx...so many amps and effects in a little box

  • Hey,

I'm going from my axe-fx direct into my computer via my MOTU interface. Nothing else done on the computer, or anywhere else. Get this thing!

  • Awesome!

I think I'm hooked on your stuff. How do you feel about doing requests? Listening to the recorded album is nice, but your guitar gives the song a LIVE feeling which I really enjoy. Plus rhythm guitar is my favorite instrument, and Iced Earth one of my favorite bands. Their performance in Athens is INSANE!

Ok, going back to the request thing.. if it's ok with you (and since Iced Earth themselves covered it) I'd like to hear you do Transylvania. Hope it's a real challenge! :p

    Regards

  • I can play Transylvania. It's quite boring to play but one of the most difficult to play, in terms of physical stamina. I'll record it some time and put it up :)

  • Well, if it's boring don't do it, play something you like. Like Stygian... :D

  • hey awesome clip! what guitar are you using, more specifically what kind of wood, im wondering how the icebuckers would sound in alder.

  • Hey, I'm using a Warmoth VIP, with a 5A flame maple top and a mahogany back. Kingwood board and a flame maple neck.

  • are you using the pod x3?

  • Hi there,

No, as stated in the description I am using my new Axe-FX. It is a world of difference from the POD.

  • You're a dead man.

  • lol

  • haha i was drunk

  • whoaaaaaaa!!!

    very nice man :)

  • Thank you sir!

  • nice cover man:D

  • Thanks!
