i was there, and i know i am going to get alot of stick for this but having seen metallica before at download, this performance was not that good at all, lars was all over the place constantly messing up the drums, was probably just him having an off day, but even so the shows production was nothing compared to download 06,

i loved it when they caked james at the end, it wasnt their best performance but they did give an amazing sense of comunity and that made up for it.

I was near the front too; but to be honest it made no fucking difference, the crowd was going mental for miles (almost litterally) behind us!!

The most entertaining band you can see! Even if your not a fan of them..you gotta admit...ITS FUCKING AWESOME!!! P.S I loved the flame throwers that burnt my eye brows even from a good few metres away LMAO!
