Wonderful cantata and this aria says it all.... To believe in Jesus as the Saviour is the only comfort for the Christian. (see: Catechism of Heidelberg, Sunday 1 and the Hymn of Simeon)

:-) I've been listening for almost four months! Incredible! Could ot fine any better interpretation. Tomas Kral is relatively young, has a young voice, full of light, but than again - with a gravity of someone 100 years old. Look at him as he begins the 1st aria, look in his eyes as he ends the 3rd aria.. I just believe him...And the orchestra. What a team! And Luise ;-) Ludek Brany in the background.. Vaclav Luks, like a lynx indeed.. The blessed hour when they played once upon a time. Amen.

Wonderful interpretation; beautiful voice. It's great to hear minimal vibrato in a world where vibrato runs rampant. I could listen to this all day...

I am moved beyond words. "I have enough." Indeed the meaning is so deep and the music amplifies it as loudly now as in Bach's own time. The musical texture is as deep and rich as the message it carries. Beautiful!
