  • lol at 'I OWN NOTHING'

  • hes alive up to the part where he doesn't have his camera he says he'd have it until the day he dies when he dies he no longer has its its awesome

  • Daaaaamn, I never even thought about that!

This scene is so poignant that I never noticed the fine details!

  • dang. your really observant. ive seen that episode numerous times and never put it together

  • @xduckwavex

No, that was meant to symbolize when Dr. Cox REALIZED he was dead, having previously been in denial before then. Ben WAS the one who went into cardiac arrest.

  • Ben was real in the beginning of the episode-up to when we think the old man died, it was actually Ben. He died of Luekimia (spelling?)

  • i finally got this eppisode after watching this. i cam to look for the name of the song and i just thought dr cox was imagining a type of what would ben do, but all along he was just in a mental blur caused by bens death where he couldnt realize the truth.

  • Ben is dead as soon as JD tells Dr. Cox "Twenty minutes after you left he went into cardiac arrest". After that, Cox is the only one that can see Ben. The cardiac arrest is widely seen as Ben, since that is when he has stopped living on-screen.

  • I was a little confused. When in the video did ben die and whose patient was he? JD's or dr. Cox?

  • You were supposed to think it was the old man that it was the old man under J.D.'s care that died... but it was actually Ben. Ben was all just in Dr. Cox's head the whole time.

  • what i dont get is how could he have messed with JD if he was a patient.. u know for example when he takes a picture of JD and then JD tries to rip it apart or when he talks about sleeping with his sisters?

  • He wasn't dead then. He died while Dr. Cox was gone to bail that juggler out of jail. When he asks J.D. if "Maybaline went belly up" (or whatever like that), that's when J.D. tells him that Ben died. Everything before that actually was happening; Ben was alive.

  • ah ok thanks :)

  • if anyone knows the name of this song let me know

  • Joshua Radin- "Winter"

  • whats the name of the song

  • Joshua Radin- "Winter"

  • winter by joshua radin is amazing i have his album great video

  • my god, this episode was so damn good. i cried at the end, i'll admit it. best episode of the show by far

  • I LUVE BEN!!....he was the coooolest one out of all of them...reminds me of myself. Constantly carrying a camera and taking pics of randoms...i was soo sad...R.I.P BEN THE ONLY DUDE IN THE UNIVERSE WHO COULD MAKE DR COX PROPERLY HAPPY AND STOP HIS RAMPAGING!!

  • JD is seen taking care of an elderly patient. He says "20 minutes after you left he went into cardiac arrest". You are meant to think it was the elderly patient who died. If you notice, Dr Cox says "Still carrying that camera around with you?" and Ben says "Til the day I die" and after he dies, he isn't seen with the camera again.

  • yea true if u do notice though he wasnt carrying the camera when jd was saying it

  • oooooooo rite i always wondered when it was that he died thank you!! and omg this is one of the saddest bits of scrubs i gotta admit i cried my eyes out at this

  • thank for the comments!

  • GOOD VID. GOOD EPISODE.

  • ok someone clear this up. at wat point in the episode did ben die? coz i htink it was the cardiac arrest bit. coz no one but dr cox talks to ben thru the rest of the episode after someone went into cardiac arrest. obviosly meant to make u believe it was the old guy. im confused

  • you've got it right. You're led to belive that it is the elerly man who died of cardiac arrest when it was actually ben. He dies within the first ten minutes of the episode, however, the audience does not realize it until the end. Pure genius.

  • dude he was talking to him in his head, no one else could see him, notivce that noone else looked at ben or spoke with him

  • This is such a good episode. It's sad, but very good at the same time.

  • why did u take out the sound?

  • I love Cox and when he cries I cry (snifles) why do these things always happen to him first My Lunch and then this (or the other way around it doesn't matter, it's all sad) wah! (bawls her eyes out as she presses Post Comment)

  • Scrubs has some great music. This one is really nice.

  • The end of this episode is sorta' upsetting =[I met the photogropher actor in the 7 star hotel in Dubai aswell :D was great

  • whats the music?

  • the song is called winter by joshua radin..! excellent song for this video by the way.. congrats!

  • for some reason the line "where do you think we are?" hits me every time.

  • Ditto, even just reading it is enough to get me.

  • I know what you mean. Zack Braff is a terrific actor.

  • Best and Most Touching Episode Ever... One of Scrubs Top Rated Episodes, Ever!!!

  • i agree

  • its from season 3 episode 14 called my screw up

  • yeah

  • I'd like to see a version without this fucking music...

  • Then buy the dvd and stop complaining

  • Could some one tell me what series and epesoid this is cause I'd love to get it on DVd so please & thank you x

  • It's My Screw Up, which is episode 14 of the 3rd series

  • Thank you, you are like soooooo amazing!! x

  • If you see the episode you should note that ben says he'll keep taking pictures till the day he dies and after JD says he went into cardiac arrest he stops taking them

  • The moment that really gets me in My Screw up is when Cox is laughing at Ben puppeting Elliot. His laughter is so close to crying, and it's heartbreaking.

  • omg thats so sad :( x love scrubs :P

  • best ever episode of scrubs

  • The song on this is amazing - does anyone know what it's called or who it's by?

  • Joshua Radin- "Winter"

  • i didnt get it after watching the episode twice until i saw this video and noticed when jd talked about cardiac arrest i never caught that before. this is almost as sad as "my lunch" which is the absolute saddest

  • I ALWAYS cry at this episode. It's a really emotional one... It's incredibly brilliant though...

  • GREAT! Now I'm crying and hurting a lot. *sobs*

  • I think I just have to watch it one more time...

  • Unfortunately I didn't understand quite....when exactly does Ben die ?? Why does evrybody see him, when he's allready dead?

Could somebody explain that for me?

    Would be really kind..

( I also cried a lot because I hate to see people dying in movies...or sitcoms...espacially Brendon Fraser >.< )

  • I know, I didnt get that either!

I just cry everytime i see this ep whenever J.D says "Where Do You Think He Are?" Lol. Dunno Why.

    *Loves Brendon Fraser. A Lot.*

  • Its only Cox who sees him after hes dead - notice how no one else actually makes eye contact with Ben

  • When Cox comes back and finds that the old man has died of a cardiac arrest after he said he shiould live it was actually Ben that died. After that he goes into denial and its why he refuses to leave and let the 'incompotent' doctors let someone die. He's the only one who sees Ben. He blames JD for Ben's death at firs 'the kid screwed up' and its the memory of Ben that majes him apologise. He only actually accepts that Ben has died at the very end.

  • *Cries. A LOT*

    I LOVE BEN!!!!

    NOOO!

    :'(

    xxx

  • This video was really really good. What's the name of the song?

  • Josh Radin-Winter
