Hey, i have a question for you. The only outstanding issue seems to be heat for this laptop, so my question is wether or not Speedfan or a similar application works with this laptop? does it fix the issue?
I have this laptop. 2.4 core 2 duo. 500 gb 7200 rpm, geforce 9400mg, 4gb ddr3 ram.
This laptop does get hot even with latest updates, fan applications would not help this. However if you do a copper mod on the heatsink it will help you drop gpu and cpu temps by at least 10C. I did it and works great for me, i even overclocked it and its still runs cool.. if you dont know what copper mod is google it.
What would the score be (about) if you would do it on XP . Would it double the score ?
Thanks

No it would not double the score. You would only see minor score changes +/- a couple 100 points nothing more then that.

I believe there is a new bios update that completely removes the heat issue.

Would you happen to know what version of the BIOS that would be?

Thanks for the 3DMark Video by Dell XPS Studio 13!
But a Gameplayvideo by Crysis, Fallout 3 or GTA IV where very nice too...
