Akuma is fkng great after two weeks of practice with him. You gotta stay away and really mind fuk them when you go in if you dont your going to eat alot of shoryukens. Hes Fkng great
I have since learned how to nail this about 90% of the time. BUT - I have also switched to maining Rufus since this video. Only in SFIV is Akuma not my character. It speaks volumes of how watered down he is. Remember when Akuma was a sooped up shoto? Now he's weaker in almost every facet than all of them. Gotta love Capcom for turning Akuma into a run away character.
if only you were correct on any facet of this. Akuma has enough mixups to keep even the best players on the defensive. Yes his vitality is very bottom. But his offense is not, he is capable of massive damage and has easy links for his combo's.
There are plenty of extremely high-ranked players on both the north american shores and japanese shores who play as Gouki/Akuma. He is upper tier, behind Sagat/Ryu/Rufus/Balrog/Zangief. And not that far behind.
This is a video of random combos but mostly im trying to do:
Standing Fierce, light hurricane kick, standing fierce(reset), Demon flip... then kick allows me to combo into jab, jab, strong, light hurricane kick, shoryu of my choice, focus cancel, red fireball. OR I can throw off of it (which you couldnt do in 3rd strike)
you just trying to do his light hurricane kick into dragon punch juggle? I see you trying to do it at beginning of video then you move onto trying dragon punch focus cancels, so I'm not sure exactly what move combination you're meaning to pull off.

Akuma is good, you just have to play differently imo. He is a buttload better than Ken.

are you trying to standing fierce after short tatsu in order to reset, then Demon flip? It's a pretty sick mixup, most ppl don't expect a reset.

Keep practicing bud. I use akuma myself and I can tell you if you cant get the combos out you dont have the vitality for any mistakes.
