  • You should have compared it with your modified KJW M1911 aswell

  • @1:00

yo that black guy just robbed a store and killed a bunch of people!!

  • where did u get the silencer

  • Seems a little unsafe to be doin it in ur backyard, what were you shooting at

  • @WillowRib Trees. Grass. Dirt. Branches.

INNOCENT CHILDRE- no wait that was a swingset.

  • @WillowRib its an airsoft gun, idiot

  • compensator is not same as the supressor...

  • @macjoetm

compensator "compensates" for the blowback of the gun, redirecting the gaseous discharge, suppressors "suppress" the sound of the gun. of course, this doesnt work for airsoft: if you dont want blowback, buy a non blowback gun, and if you want silent, buy a quiet co2 gun.

  • Suppressors weigh the barrel down in the front, reducing muzzle climb, although not as efficiently as a muzzle brake. C02 is a more powerful gas, no matter what you do it will sound louder coming out, just like propane/green gas is louder than duster gas/134a. Springer pistols come in first, then gas nbb's in terms of quietness.

And the suppressor does work on nbb's. It doesn't work on gbb's because of the escaping gas at the ejection port and the loud slide racking back and forth.

  • Nice vid, do you think the "silencers" will make other gbbs that quiet?

  • nk23 = HUGE

  • Silencer, suppresor, compensator, I dont really care how you say it. It doesn't matter to me like 'clip vs mag' but you are correct.

I must disagree with Moorestownairsoft on 1 thing:

Many people would argue putting a suppresor on a nbb is worth it. Audio tests confirm it. Now on a gbb it really wouldn't matter, with the loud slide action and all.

Lets not get into an interweb argument here guys, because, Like MLG tournaments, Even if you win your still a loser.

  • Well I can agree to the silencer/suppressor deal but the clip/mag thing, they are two different things. A clip is like a stripper clip for an SKS or a M1Garand bandolier. So those things, are very different.

  • @slopeslider90 Compensator reduces recoil ;)

  • @elementginger1 No, it reduces the muzzle climb. The recoil is still the same but the gun won't tilt so much anymore.

  • duhhh! that's what the silencer is for u dumb fuck... 2 make it quite. ofcourse itz gonna be louder w/ out it....Silencer = SILENCE!!! HELLO?!

I swear "asquintguy" u r a fckn retard! i hope "slopeslider90 shotz you in your fckn eye!

  • shut up i say tomawtoe you say toomaytoe

  • @moorestownairsoft

Actually fucktard some companies that make them call them silencers and only people who have little firearm experience correct people on that little tidbit. Again, you suck.

  • @moorestownairsoft Silencer is a commonly used legal term and industry term. Look at Advanced Armament Corp. They make great silencers. Guess what they call em? SILENCERS. It's even listed on their website as such. Can you please read up on things before you post so that you don't make yourself seem dumber than you already are...

  • @moorestownairsoft:

That's not correct. It's not impossible. The russians developed an ammunition that is completely silent in itself. All that's left is the slide working.

Look up a pistol called PSS (Pistolet Sptsialnyj Samozaryadnyj)

  • Actually, you are the one is a retard. Its a AIRSOFT gun, most if not all (except this one) don't actually work, they are just for show and looks. Gets your facts straight before you post and make yourself sound stupid.

  • first off two VERY different guns. second take the silencer off the MK23 and fire it then. the silencer does absolutly NOTHING

  • If you'd LURK MOAR you'd know the TM MK23 is _Renowned_ for it's stealth. It's harder to hear quiet muffled noises than quiet high-pitched POP's. Anything to make it sound less like a gunshot will help. Read my below posts.

  • nice backyard

  • Hehe I never noticed that. But the oversensitive mic is exxagerating the TM, You can even hear me pulling the trigger before the gun fires! I guess I should've moved further back.

  • are these gass ?

  • Yep. running them on propane. if one was elec. youd hear a motor whine similar to AEG's.

  • I never knew airsoft were loud in the first place, so I figured all the silencers were pointless. Are they both gas operated?

  • Yep. It wont 'silence' it but the nearby enemy's not hearing it. The lack of blowback is also a big stealth factor. and some people use mock silencers to hide an extended tightbore barrel.

Lemme say this for the TM mk23. I shot [laying prone] at my bro from less than 100ft. I missed somehow, but he kept walking. Later when I asked didnt he hear it, he said he thought it was a neighbors basketball bouncing or something. Had I used the colt there'd be no ignoring/confusion. GUARANTEED.

  • thank you man i just ordered the TM so now i know i made a good choice

  • Damn that's quiet!

  • Thanks for the video man, I think im going to pick up the TM for night games.

  • thanks man! great video. good idea to do this. this is nuts. btw check my airsoft video on my page, you might like it :p

  • I must be the only one who doesn't like the silencer. for looks though, I've never actually played airsoft, or shot an Mk23 SOCOM before.

  • Thanks, I had the same problem. "I know its quiet, but how much?" It helps to hear it right next to a typical GBB

  • Awesome comparison man. Thanks a lot. I was trying to see how quiet the MK23 really was. Thanks for helpin me out man.

  • Not Bad

  • im first viewer? o.o cool xD nice vid btw
