  • is that the same colt m4 you can get at Big 5 sporting goods?

  • I wish they would come out with a production 22 from one of the major companies that had an interchangeable lower. Dont get me wrong, these guns are very functional. But all the ones I look at tend to stay away from the idea.

Speaking of that matter, in your opinion (to anyone), what is the best 22 upper?

As always, a wonderful video. You are the genuine article.

  • I like the Tactical Solutions 22 upper.

    Jeff

  • can an upper of a 223 be put on it??

  • No.

    jeff

  • How much do these ones go for?

  • Not Bad at all Im a Beginner Id like one for the range. Too bad our State is run by a bunch of Communist Liberals.

  • Does anyone know if you live in georgia can you buy this gun at 18?

  • @LEDGISTER This is a LongRifle, sir. 18 to purchase.

  • oh i wanted the 5.56, Not the .22, didn't realize this was the .22

  • I live in communist Kalifornia, I should go out of state to get one.

  • @tehatemachine

it is legal in cali. but we do have the 10rd mag limit

since it is rimfire not centerfire it can have a detachable mag.

  • ANy permit needed to buy this gun?

  • Not Federally, and not in most states. Ask a local dealer if you live in a Communist area.

  • @Gunblastdotcom I bought one of them colts last week. If the rifle miss fires the action closes. There is no stop to leave the action open? The range master chastised me. He could not tell if the gun was loaded.

  • That is correct. Many guns do not lock open after the last round. Tell the rangemaster to lay off the caffiene.

    jeff

  • @Gunblastdotcom When I had enough I left again the same bitch range fascist chastised me again. As I carried the rifle out of the range compound I was told not to cover the open action with my hand. If you carry the rifle out in a cover you cant see the action but they they don't seem to care about rifle cases eclipsing the view of the weapon? They also chastised me for transporting my 38 revolver in a holster and chastised me again for rapid fire?Next time I will bring her a Kotex.

  • Some rangemasters are just like that - they get this feeling of power, I guess. If there is someplace else you can shoot, you might try that - otherwise, it's unfortunately their range, their rules.

  • @Gunblastdotcom like the people's republic of Illinois?

  • @Gunblastdotcom The UN (UNITED NAZIS) want to turn the entire USA into a communist area

  • @bullsandbear its a 22 the gun grabbers have not yet breached the constitution regarding this rifle yet

  • @bullsandbear why do you need a permit ? our right is the constitution.

  • No way! Santa is actually shooting guns on youtube when not on duty? Scary...

  • A lot of fun indeed.

By the way, what does he say between 0.47-0.50? I tried to rewind it several times, but I still couldn't get it. LOL

  • "It's real good for training a kid how to shoot; it can kinda grow with 'em, you don't have to worry about cutting off the buttstock & adding it back on later."

  • @mccraryfloors i didnt buy it....womp, womp, womp in my comment i simply was stating the price...

  • hey the dust cover on my m4 lr does not close.

are they meant not to close?

how do i keep the bolt in the retracted position

  • This rifle is sold for $749.00 at big-5 in CA.

  • @desertboyG wow you got ripped,i just bought mone for $459 at big 5.

  • Imagine the troops in Afganistan and Iraq getting a gun and ammo supply crate and get these rifles instead of the real m4's/ I would lol.

  • gagster ass foo=]

  • I prefer the S&W.

    Jeff

  • all of colts umarex rifles are a peace,s of shit. The barrels are a tiny tubes barely large enough for the rifling process. they have a barrel shroud put over the top of them to give the illusion of being made from a barrel blank. once you separate the upper from the lower receiver you can see the real cheap shit junk parts.Pot metal castings that will break if dropped hard on a cement floor cheap junk rifles. Buy a real ar-15 22 get the ATI -vk 22 its the real deal. Mil spec lower multi cal

  • @mannexx111 are you being paid to go to every video and talk shit?

  • @DSNCB919 Just stating the facts don't want someone to purchase one of these when they could have the real thing for the same money. By the way are you really going to argue with any of the things I pointed out. I understand that you may have purchased one of these without knowing the things I pointed out. But now that you know would you really purchase one again. I didn't mean in any way to hurt your feelings I just took one of these apart and was shocked.

  • @mannexx111 okay I write a sentence. you write a paragraph and throw a bunch of your imagination in it.. I was just asking a simple question to why u go around every video of this gun and post same comment.

  • @DSNCB919 Are you stupid or are your parents brother and sister. I trying to inform anyone in the market about a major disappointment . That would be purchasing one of these pieces of junk that your so proud of.

  • @mannexx111 please dont try to act hard over the internet, its a weak personality

  • @DSNCB919 I understand now your parents are brother and sister!!!!!

  • 9 peoples has ver jiners

  • Thank you, sir.

  • Dude! Nice beard!

  • I really don't think the ear protection was needed for a .22 caliber rifle, but I understand it was probably for safety purposes for the video. I really need to get one of these; I love the M4 and M16 style rifles, but I don't have the money to keep buying 5.56 ammo. This is a great alternative!

  • I do use ear protection for unsuppressed 22s.

  • @TNFiddlers Why? It's not loud enough to cause damage to your ears. I shoot .22 rifles every day without ear protection.

  • What gun do you like the best to shoot for fun and to hunt with? The SR 22, the M4 or the M&P 15 22?

  • Of those three, I prefer the M&P-1522.

    Jeff

  • Hey Jeff i was wondering which gun you would recomend to buy. Would it have to be the SR 22 or the Colt M4 .22? I am not sure which to buy.

  • I could not make that decision either, and bought both. Also consider the S&W M&P-22.

    Jeff

  • ODIN!

  • I taken M16 Colt 22 out 4 times now and she is broke in. Love the rifle. It is a lot of fun and very accurate. You have to be patient with the bolt setting and mag issues. I think the 20 round mags feed a lot better.

  • hay i just bought me one but not fired off. mine says its self loading does that not make it semi

  • Yes, it is a semi-automatic.

    Jeff

  • Hey Jeff. How would you say this Colt would compare with the smith & wesson or the sig sauer or the SGS-5 which all seem to have there versions. Thanks. Hope you can answer my question as I am considering a purchase. Sincerely, JAMES.

  • Of the group, I prefer the S&W.

    Jeff

  • These are about $400-$500 dollars from the shop. But you can get the Smith and Wesson M&P 15-22 witch is by far the better gun for the same price.

  • you forgot to shoot it sir

  • How much does this cost?

  • How much does this cost?

  • I honor your beard sir, it is mighty.

  • Does anyone know how to swap out the standard hand guard with the replacement RIS?

  • awesome thats just what i need tired of shootin squirrels with bolt-action

  • "Cutting off the butt stock and adding it back on later"

is that a normal practice? haha never heard of someone doing that.

  • I have done that with a wooden buttstock. It allows one to shorten the stock's length for a child, then add the length back as the child grows.

    Jeff

  • @Gunblastdotcom yeah if you put the butt stock back on properly and do a good job it looks like you havent even cut it off in the first place

  • @Damonmav its a southern thing

  • This is an extremely versatile weapon. I have owned mine for a little over one month now. It is very capable of killing deer. 5 in the boiler is more than equal to one .270 round. It is small, quiet, deadly accurate.

  • @UBGActionMedia What state do you live in that lets you hunt with rimfire rounds?

  • @BrokenRRT

I manage a private estate in Maryland.

  • @UBGActionMedia Are you exempt form the fish and game laws if on private land there? I though you would still have regulations from the Dept of Natural Resources that are geared towards humane kills and require the round be able to produce at least 1,200 foot pounds for deer size game.

  • @BrokenRRT

You seem to have issues with authority, my friend. I am done speaking to you.

  • @UBGActionMedia Wow! First of all I didn't know you were "authority". What makes you consider yourself "authority"? I was honestly asking you a question and trying to learn why it's ok for you to be able to take game with rimfire ammo. Most states it's a no no, including mine. I won't bother your high and mighty authoritative self any longer. I can see your very old and don't have much more time to be bothered with honest questions you may have to answer even if it's not in your best interest.

  • @BrokenRRT

Ok... One more... First, I am NOT authority. I simply do not allow authority to dictate what behaviors I may or may not engage in. I choose for myself and go to great lengths at times to ensure that the King has no idea I was there. You should try it sometime and see for yourself. Ta ta...

  • @BrokenRRT doesnt every state let you hunt with rimfire. i dont know of any that dont. by hunt i mean squirrels, rabbit, crow, stuff like that. we cant hunt deer and that with 22 but any small game we can.

  • @nightsniper101 I can't answer for every state but yes on small game and birds ect most do alow rimfire for that but this dude made a comment about taking deer with a .22 cal rimfire. When I asked him about it he just told me I "seem to have issues with authority" I guess if you own a key to a gate and you make a few hillbilly style gun vids that makes you the authority. After I looked it up for his state I do see it's not ok becuase he can't produce enough foot pounds with a .22 rimfire.

  • @BrokenRRT oh ok, i didnt see the rest of the conversation or hear what he said. i was just saying.

  • @nightsniper101 NP! Hey nice catch on that shark! I fished many sharks but never one that size from the beach. Thanks for sharing the video with us. Did you eat any of the meat? Could get some nice steaks for the grill from that guy.

  • @BrokenRRT Thanks!!! thats actually my first shark ive ever caught. it was on my vacation. we saw a few bigger ones at the same time but thats what hit. oh yeah we ate it, gave some to the people we were staying with and the people that helped us clean it. they were great steaks, i actually like the smaller sharks better because there more tender. but they both taste great. also caught a stingray and that tasted amazing also.

  • VERY easy to unload! :D

  • ure a cool guy but i got an advice... its pronounced like walter not walfer.. the H is a silent one ;) great gun btw

  • Hi, I've heard that Remington ammo seems to have problems with this rifle. Have you used Remington ammo?

    Thanks

  • The Remington high velocity packaged in the hard plastic box seems to work well. The bulk-packaged ammo does not, in my experience.

    Jeff

  • @Gunblastdotcom Thanks for the info.

  • omg santa claus is a red neck whit an m4!

  • sorry for the rudimentary question, but that magazine thats on there.. would it fit on the Smith and Wesson .22 AR?

  • I do not think so.

    Jeff

  • hey how much would this cost

  • Prices vary from dealer to dealer. Call your local dealers, or check on Gunbroker and Gunsamerica.

    Jeff

  • Love that music!

  • Lol Jeff you look like a motorcycle rider XD Cool gun btw.

  • That's because I AM a Harley rider.

  • wow nerd

  • that is like getting hit by a bb gun

  • @XxCOD4glicher12xX a bb gun that shoots 1,300 fps and sprawls all around when it enters your body lol.. The size is deceiving, a .22 is plenty lethal.

  • @MANRUH25 here i know one at locknloadonline i hope you'll make a review, unboxing ones you have the gun.

  • @MANRUH25 here i know one.

  • do u have a website or something where u can buy the .22 m4?

    thanks alot

  • Please see the referenced review, there are links at the end.

  • is this better then the S&W? i heard the S&W has erxtraction problems and can easily blow an extractor.

  • Both worked very well for me, but I prefer the S&W.

    Jeff

  • @TexasDistortion The FIRST generaion of M&P 15 22 had sub par extractor pins and bolt carrier springs. S&W has long since fixed these issues. So much in fact, that the S&W M&P 15 22 just won 2010 rifle of the YEAR! I have over 4k rounds through my 15 22 and have not yet had any issues at all.. other than using Remington ammo( and S&W recommends in the manual to not use that brand)

  • @TexasDistortion The Colt *looks* better. The Smith & Wesson *is* better. No flash hider on the S&W but it has a thicker barrel, superior quality, functional bolt release, and the FTE issue has been corrected on newer versions.

If you get one of the older ones just call S&W and they'll fix it for free, and ship it at their cost with a prepaid shipping package. They have no problem admitting their little mistake and going above and beyond to fix it and keep the customer happy.

  • are these legal in canada

  • @blanbproductionshd Just move down here; you'll save yourself a lot of grief if you want to shoot anything. Not dissing Canada, but the US's gun laws are about as good as you can get for making sure law-abiding citizens have a way to protect themselves.

  • It does not fit any other lower receiver.

    Jeff

  • Are .22's safe if you accidentally hit someone with them? what are the pros/cons of .22 ?

  • They are lethal.

    Jeff

  • I love the background music, what's the name of this rhyth?

  • It's called "Gravitational Pull" by a great player named Shannon Hayes, who is a good friend of my brother Boge (Boge is my Webmaster, and does the videos). Shannon's CD is called "The Gateway", and it's available on Amazon.

  • i think that magazine shure looks goofy on it

  • Can the upper receiver be changed to a higher caliber? If not, are the any .22 AR models that can be?

  • It cannot. I know of none that can.

    Jeff

  • @Gunblastdotcom If you purchase a dedicated .22 upper kit it uses the standerd AR15 lower reciever... How ever any colt or smith and wessons .22 Ar15 style weapon has a reciever ment only for that gun. The dedicated upper for a AR15 milspec lower will run you more money than buying the colt or smith AR stil .22. So just get the colt or smith save yourself money and have another gun to shoot :)

  • I agree.

    Jeff

  • @Gunblastdotcom how was accuracy with that rifle.. I want one for small game around here and plinking... is it accurate enough ya think for small game out to 50 yards?

  • For accuracy and other details, please see the review on Gunblast.com

    Jeff

  • Is this a worthier purchase than the S&W MP 15-22 ?

  • I prefer the S&W.

    jeff

  • I agree.. S&W MP-22 is a beautiful rifle.. I shot over 2000+ rounds with no issues... Also with the price of 22's you can't go wrong. I fire this more then my DPMS AR-15 with the crazy prices of .223..

  • @Gunblastdotcom Quick question ! S&W MP 15-22 or Sig 522?

  • I have no experience with the 522, so am not qualified to answer.

    Jeff

  • how much is one of these worth?

  • About $450.

    Jeff

  • @Gunblastdotcom really wow i thought it would've been around $600+

  • Looks good. You think I could get one in CA?

  • I do not know. Check with a local dealer on that.

    Jeff

  • whats the pricing on this rifle?

  • i like it were is this guns store were u bought it from located and how much?

  • That's a 40 Rd. Magazine.

  • Mine has a thirty-round magazine

    Jeff

  • @brettsommer i think its just the length of a 5.56 40 round mag

  • the umarex colt m4 or s&w 15/22?

  • excellent video Quinn, highly entertaining and informative

  • I thought Santa didn't exist?

    :D

    I kid i kid!

  • congratulations

  • are you from texas because you sound like that you do :D

  • I'm from Tennessee.

  • cool rifle man

  • how much would 1 of these cost?

  • @stupidi5fun $500.00

  • Any idea if the MP 15 22 can use the new CCI 17 Mach 2 ammo?

  • Respond to this video...

  • Speaking of Walther do you own a PPK? There was a recall on a lot of them a few months ago.

  • No, I don't.

  • Jeff, In your opinion, Would you reccomend this over the Smith & Wesson M&P 15-22? I hear the Smith has alot of jam problems and FTE. Thanks for you advice

  • I hear just the opposite. FWIW, I like them both - but I BOUGHT the Smith.

    Jeff

  • @Gunblastdotcom Thanks for the Response. I think im sold

  • @TexasDistortion i bought a m&p 15-22 it broke the same day its in the shop im waiting on smith to send it back but if i had it to do over i would buy the colt becuase its not so picky on ammo smith just wont shoot the cheap ammo

  • funny gun

  • is 600 bucks a good price for one of these i saw one at big 5

  • That seems high to me.

    Jeff

  • Oh dude!! I've seen this guy in like 90% of the Barret M468 I've seen. Badass mofo!

  • it's beautiful that rifle but you can shoot it with one hand, and the cal is .22. is not good but should be funny have one. :D

  • @Gamerforever1 lol. i don't judge.. but wow.. you are a stupid person. You're the reason "NERF" guns exist... You deserve to get shot in the eye with a wrist rocket. You sound so fucking dumb, i want to light myself on fire so i turn black and dont sound like white trash..

  • @d2astik84 u r the stupid . i didnt say nothing bad and u say bad things. motherfucker.

  • saw em at big five

  • they are selling these at Big 5 for about $800 :D

  • braided beard...gansta!

  • Not really. Just a guy who got tired of his beard getting all tangled-up when he rode his Harley.

  • The Umarex is made by walther ? wow, I was assuming korea or some place like that...

Thats what ya get for ass-u-me-ing

  • save your time and money buy a sig suar 522. the sig isby far the best ,22 assult style rifle and the cheapest.the colt and smith have too many issues just research them on utube.

  • Does it have a real bayonet lug on the .22lr version? Or is it plastic can you put a real M-16 bayonet on the .22lr version?

  • Yes, it has a real bayonet lug for use with a real bayonet.

    Jeff

  • just got one from big5 for $600 in california, can't wait to break it in! thanks for the video and article, they were very helpful!

  • i have a ?, Im only 18 and i want to know if i can buy a at BIG 5 becuz its only a .22 . sorry i not in to gun that much

  • @TheArea510

It depends upon the law in the state in which you live. Ask the gun dealer. he will know.

    Jeff

  • @TheArea510 If 510 means you're in California, you should be able to purchase long arms at the age of 18+. Big 5 sporting goods has been pushing these on sale for the last month or two. Should be fine as long as you don't fail an instant background check, if they give you one.

  • How is the accuracy?

  • Very good - please see the referenced article.

  • i love that signuture crack the .22lr makes when its fired

  • CAN I HAVE THAT IN NYS PLEASE LET ME KNO
