yeah all we care about is being "macho" and being called a hero. you dont even know the things we soldiers go through. i signed up because i was sitting at home doing nothing while childhood friends of mine were getting shot at and killed over there. i'm happy to do my part and help bring some guys home safely to their families that they never get to see because of everything they have to sacrifice. but thats alright, you probably have a nice, comfortable life.

Unfortunately most of the soldiers in the Vietnam War (except the ones from New Zealand, I am proud to say) had little choice as to whether to fight, and possibly die, in Vietnam.

One step up the English speaking world have made since then, is to end conscription. Even the military dont like conscription!

I served in the NZ military and I think soldiers can be a force for good. NZ soldiers are only used where there is a UN mandate and have a great track record of acting humanely.

The last justifiable war America was in was World War 2.

The only war left that's worth fighting in is the rejection and defeat of militant, fascist Islam on European and American soil should it come to that.
