@milesbower the sword that appears there is somewhat random, most likely based on what level you are when you first come across it. i've seen several different swords there on my different profiles.

actually if u knew the legend ryt auther got his sword from the stone but wen he tried to throw\dropped excalibur in the lake a hand came out the water and grabbed it, thats y u find the sword in the stone and the lady of lake in skyrim! its related to that legend!!

The highest armour you can find is deadric or dragonplate/scale armour. I have found a deadric war axe and a dragonplate helmet so far and i am level 53. Its pretty rare i think. I just made full daedric and dragonplate with my 100 smithing
