  • hes using a bomber crankbait

  • crap-ie haha

  • Look at 4:00; you can read that it says OZ to the right of the 5

JUST SAYIN that there aren't 10 ounces in a pound so a 1 pound 5 ounce bass wouldn't be a 1.5 pound bass.

  • People in Fl.call'em SPECS

  • is this lake anywhere near ft.Lauridale? i need to find a place to cathc crappie

  • @redneckxyz Lake Washington in Melbourne, FL.

  • i hate how some ppl say it it bugs me crap-ie i personally say cropie but thats just me =)

  • Also, 1lb 5oz is NOT 1 1/2lbs!

  • You are right, people do pronounce crappie 3 different ways.....2 of them, including yours, are incorrect.

  • It's time for me to move to florida.

  • never heard of mann's. i use rapala crankbaits

  • What kinda crankbait r u using?

  • @MeCuzImWyte I was using a Mann's shallow running crankbait.

  • mine is 7 inch

  • nice vid. i have the same crank bait lol

  • i caught a 18 in crappie once

  • @GunnaT4400 18-inches is a HUGE crappie! So far my biggest crappie is 17.5 inches. 18 is tough to beat...

  • what lake is that

  • @rctlover1 Lake Washington, in Melbourne, FL

  • great catch

  • nice video 5 stars.

  • i would never let that white perch (crappie) go or the bass

  • It really bugs me when people call it crap-ie. it sounds so disrespectful to the fish. You don't hear anyone calling bass "b-ace".

  • another fight? 17lb test is no fight. and its pronounced crop-ie, not crap-ie

  • @ogrecharger Thanks for the post. People pronounce crappie three different ways. It all depends on what region they live in. People in N.C. call it crap-ie.

  • @ogrecharger yeah people in Maryland, NY, and Pennsylvania pronounce it CRAP-IE don't tell us how

  • nice fish. the bass was cool too

  • yeah its insane ive caught about a 16 inch crappie on a 7 in worm and my brother caught a rock bass on a crankbait that was insane

  • Gooch hahahaha

  • im trying to get ready for the a crappie trip and my only small pole broke shoul i get a new short or long rod..??

  • I recommend at least a 5.5-foot rod. This will allow you to fish with corks or light tackle.

  • finally someone that actually sais crappie right!!!

  • wrong

  • i caught a bigger crappie than that one.

  • Nice crappie, I yet to catch a big crappie.

biggest one ive ever caught was about 10 inches.

  • one time i caught a 7 pound bass on crappie jig its on my wall now lol

  • i've caught a 17 inch crappie with a senko last spring

  • hahah i did better i caught a 7 pound tail walker trout last winter on a 5inch senko

  • thats some good eating!!!!

  • crappie will tear a crappie crankbait up... thats probably what you have

  • i have never seen a crappie that big! nice slab

  • Thank you for the post :)

  • Nice crappie.

  • i caught a pretty big one last time to and it was bout almost 2 pounds it was pretty kew

  • Catch and Release is the only way to go! Thanks for the post.

  • Mann's Shallow running crank bait.

  • what boat are you running

  • 2005 G3 Eagle 165 with a 50hp Yamaha. Great boat!

  • i was fishin yesterday with a crank bait and caught a 6 pound catfish

  • Now that's a huge catfish. What kind of crankbait were you using?

  • shallow running

  • Pretty fish. The water was "tea" color, very cool. Were there cypresses or willows making it that color?

  • I'm not for sure what's making the water this color. But it seems all the Central Florida lakes and rivers have this same coloration.

  • Interesting. Sure is pretty and probably influences the fish's beautiful dark colors, too. Right now, all our lakes and rivers have a lovely mocha (flooded) color.

  • Lol.. Were already friends... ha..ha.. Whoops! keep the great videos coming Great stuff!!! And beautiful shots.

  • That crappie is going to let you catch em again next. Stop day dreaming

  • Nice job buddy! Keep the great videos coming. Be sure to add me!

  • i am a beginner soc cen you put it a little simpler sorry

  • No problem, just take a few lures (crank baits, buzz baits, and beetle spins of your choice and go fishing. Try reeling the crank baits slow a few retrieves and fast on other retrieves. Let the fish tell you what they want. Fishing changes everyday, meaning the fish may want a slower presentation like a plastic worm one day and a buzz bait the next. I wish you the best of luck!

  • do you got some good tips for crankbait and buzz baits i am a beginner bass fisherman and i dont have a boat

  • I catch a lot of bass using black buzz baits early in the morning or late in the day. If possible always use a trailer hook. This will increase your catches.

Shallow running crank baits fishing around trees, lily pads, or any cover in the water works best. Chartreuse is my favorite color used just like the one in this video and my other video how to "Foul hook bass and lose a 5lbs fish". I have caught my biggest fish from shore. Good luck and good fishing!

  • Very good video'

Any suggestions on how to fish for crappie w/o having a boat. I'm fishing for them for the 1st time and I am at lake Sinclair in Georgia.

  • The best time to catch crappie from shore will be from February, March, and maybe early April. This is the time of the year where the crappies move shallow to spawn. I recommend fishing with minnows. Crappie jigs are also good baits, but live bait is at least from my experience is the best method to catch big slabs.

Bait is the key, but location is just as important. Try fishing around shallow stumps, rocks, brush piles, boat docks from shore. Good luck and CATCH A BIG ONE!

  • Thanks'

The weather has just gotten a bit colder due to rain so I am going to try and hit it up this weekend. I will post a video of pictures showing any fish caught.

    Thanks again for the help.

  • are u fishing at farm 13?

  • Awesome fishing and cool video. Those look like killer waters you got there!

  • Really cool. Thanks for sharing. Nice crappie, it would take a lot for me to leave that area.
