  • no matter who sings this song , it remains a great song. though everyone knows this song belongs to Ray Price. it was composed for him to sing...

    thanks kris K and Ray

  • Still rockin!

  • Even in his 80s, Ray''s voice is as strong as ever.

  • AWESOME..so awesome.... Ray Price is the best!

Thank you for sharing this video.

  • Next to Buddy Emmons, I love you.

  • I saw Ray about this same time at the New Mexico State Fair Rodeo a few years back. What a class act! Even with a little age and all, he's still a great singer! Appreciate him while you still can. You wont be seeing him too much anymore he's just getting a little too old! It happens to us all.

  • Beautiful. Thanks for filming

  • God bless ray:

  • Ray is the man. I just saw him tonight at the Acuff Theater. He is an angel on earth and everyone needs to pray for his comfort as he battles to regain his health.

    The universe loves you, Ray

  • Ray Price sings beautiful but Arron Neville sings this song the best. Nothing against Ray Price because i sing alot of hes songs in our band but Arron has him beat on this one.

  • Beautiful rendition of HIS song....he owns it as far as I'm concerned. However, I borrow it and perform a cover of it on my channel here on youtube...please check out my cover of it as well...and I hope you enjoy it!

    Cheers!

  • A great delivery of the lyrics. After doing the song for decades he sings like it's a fresh experience.

  • Beautiful..Thanx for sharing...

  • so so true...& such a beautiful song. still have tears running down my face listening to it again for the 1st time in many years. this was my dad's favorite song (may his soul rest in peace). thank you so so so much for posting it. god bless you.

  • You're very welcome.

  • Yes, me too (tears). This was one of my Grandfather's favourite songs (may his soul and all the departed rest in peace). I personally like Al Green's version better, however, there will always be a place in my heart for this one. Strange isn't it how memories and loss of loved one's urged us to look up thisong...well not ~that~ strange. After all, look at the title of the song. Sorry about your Dad's passing. Take care!

  • I had a 45 record of this song and the reverse was grazing in greener pastures.I thought it was the best by any performer.cant find it on utube

  • My favorite voice of all time

  • Mr Price sang that song last Friday night in Montreal Canada. What a beautiful voice. I wish I am as in good shape as he is when I hit 83!! What a performance he gave.

  • A song full of pathos, and a great singer to boot.

  • What a beautiful song.

  • Wish I could sing like that, what a natural.

  • Ray sounds flawless! I'm so glad he's still out there on tour.

  • Amazing! Ray sounds perfect, just like he did 30 years ago.

  • Not sure where that came from, or when - but listen to the last record with Merle, Ray, and Willie, and the great songs they do.....and tell me if Ray didn't have the best voice country music ever heard!

  • Such a classic. Ray sings so well after 50+ years of performing. Amazing.

  • Ray is really in fine form.

    Class act. Like butter.

    THANKS! Cool Post 4 Sure!

    5 Stars for Mr.Price.

  • Wow! Ray's still got it. I'm glad he's still performing. He has such a timeless voice.

  • Ray still ROX!!!!

  • even at that age what an amazing voice

  • 83 yrs old on January 12, 2009!

  • ray sure looks tired in this one.

  • It was a great memory as me, my brother, Dad and Grandad would watch the Grand Ole Opry and we would all sing this song.

  • No one can sing this song but Ray. Even when Kris wrote it he must have had Ray in mind. What a classic. I am so happy Ray is still entertaining us - there will never be another like him. What a fantastic career has and is still having - always classily dressed too which says a lot. Thanks for posting. - Paula

  • The epitome of an entertainer.

  • Oh the memories of hearing this in the living room and walking in to find my parents dancing!

  • loved this song since i was a kid thanks

  • He's awesome.

    What a great talent.

    God Bless you Ray.

  • Wow, you'd expect him to sing the song different after all these years but great singers like Ray know his fans want to hear the original version.

thx for posting a country legend

  • You won't see any rappers doing what Ray Price does...still performing after 50 years.

  • lol, theyll probably be shot in drive-bys; but youre right, they dont have the quality to last. thats alright with me.

  • roy orbison is just a little better but i'm still a huge price fan and i always will be.

  • Great--what was the date of this concert??

  • October 26, 2007
