this video is a comment on consumerist culture. The man sings the song obediently along with the false deity of Santa Claus who bears the trance-like voice of satan himself. The shopping man is falling in line with the belittling ritual of translating your love for others into material gifts. Love, bought and sold, humanity, bought and sold. The harsh contrast of the orange lighting with the blue lit background is meant to declare the opposition between consumerist culture and humanity. Bravo.
