  • Anybody else have trouble with the video?

  • You know that when a man's harshest critics are the American government, rich Latinos in Miami, and Pat Robertson... he can't be all that bad.

  • @neosoc exactly,

  • hugo chavez is a legend

  • Michael Parenti is the last defender of the Soviet Union and Mao's China. He has the wondrous gift of being able to overlook tens of millions of dead---many times over---and to see nice things from the Gulag towers. He is the Pollyanna of such brutal Centralized regimes. Parenti believes the Ant colony is a marvelous paradigm for a new economic Order----and you are the ant.

  • I admire Chavez because he has balls. I had the courage and audacity to call Bush a simmering devil at the UN. Chavez has already proven himself to be a real man. I wish African leaders were like him. The only one in Africa that even comes close to him is President Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe

  • @dabcore I wouldn't compare Hugo Chavez, possibly the world's last honest politician, to a dictator like Robert Mugabe. But I get your sentiment.

  • people really will diss any1 i put parenti u with chomski sooo clever so much truth

  • Chavez is another democrateur state it portrait it self as a democratic state but after changing the constitution and holding on to power controlling the media enforcing central control, us terror to keep people in line all this to share the wealth of the country?..Wealth can and should be divided with more equally but this is not the way!!

The people will only takes as much of this I see a revolution in the future, push people around long enough, eventually they'll start fighting back....!!!

  • Parenti is a communist/nazi/socialist...there all the same.

Why he tries to parse hairs between communism and nazism is very revealing. They both nationalize business--it's a "pay to play" thing under nazism--just like US, communism does same thing with different methods, but same result: centralization of the economy.

Remember the communists and nazis had a pact before WWII. No coincidence!

Glenn Beck: 'The only diff. is nazism is nationalistic, communism is globalistic.'

  • Venezuela is on its way to be like an african country, from being one of the best Latin American countries to be one of the ones in the world. Chavez is a dictator, what happens when a soldier takes over the presidency?

In venezuela, most people were middle class before chavez, now they are poor.

Castro, Franco, Mussoulini, Hittler and Chavez, all dictators.

  • This video sucks.... Nothing of this shit is truth.. Come down and I will show what I am talking about!! 50% of companies have been confiscated by this regimen and 19 thousands died by gunshot per year!! The worst corruption ever registered in our republican history.. The guy who made this video was paid by Chavez... Son of bitch!!

  • @jeankevincris well, the richest people in venezuela had steadily been accumulating more and more wealth for themselves until Chavez, at least he put an end to that. Also, the government health programs aren't all lies.

  • This video sucks.... Nothing of this shit is truth.. Come down and I will show what I am talking about!! 50% of companies have been confiscated by this regimen and 19 thousands died by gunshot per year!!

  • @dinotrebius HUGO CHAVEZ FRIAS!!!!!!!!

  • What's that lady gonna do, nationalize McDonald's? I don't have a problem with Chavez as long as elections remain free. Also, he shouldn't be so eager to follow in Fidel's footsteps when it comes to jailing political opponents because that only deligitimizes his own leadership. Finally, the real revolution should be a region wide financial support system, so that these countries don't end up getting tricked by the IMF and World Bank into putting a straight jacket on their economic policies.

    VIVA LA REVOLUCION

  • Please Google "Libertarianism".

This may erroneously lead people to see "Communism" as an alternative to "Capitalism".

  • you are wrong dude! I'm venezuelan and I know wha't happens in my country, all the companies of my family are been afected since he is in the goverment! and you only need to go to the street to know that everything is going wrong.

  • liar!

  • Yet another exile lying about Venezuela...

...oh... too bad. I'm sorry that you don't get to sip champagne in Venezuela and drive fancy cars... we're sorry for caring about the poor and wanting a better life for all...

    Yeah right...

I wonder how the poor felt when you were in power... oh that's right, that's the reason WHY CHAVEZ WAS ELECTED IN THE FIRST PLACE!

  • @EuropeanComrade1 iTS AMAZING, WHEN THE RICH AND THE coporations, and the US hate you, You can be labeled an honest man of the people

  • @EuropeanComrade1 Especially, that I'm coming from a 3rd world perspective, (I'm latino), I live in inequality, I study, Political science, Economics, Sociology, history, and I see that we are able to produce, and provide sooo much, but the greed of the ruling class, is a true tradegy

  • pekeno you say

"all the companies of my family are been afected "

Of course Chavez is a devil for you,, Its against the capitalism and for the people..

one cant enjoy companies and the rest is only workers,,

So enjoy while u can ,, if you can,,,, cause capitalism is over in your country,,

  • parenti knows his stuff

  • Just because he shows one side doesn't make him one-sided.

He's just showing the other side, many people criticize Chavez here in America just primarily on the oil and corruption of Venezuela. Michael Parenti is just stating the facts most journalists refuse to include.

  • Who is this dictators whore. What a slime ball. He's actually trying to exhault this nut case.

  • Notice how CBS, NBC, FOX, CNN, ABC, and the rest of our U.S. corporate media never criticize or condemn world leaders that our govt. is allied with, who are so obviously dictators. Like Hosni Mubarak, of Egypt, who steals elections, has total control over his countriy's media (except the internet), has over 1 million secret police constantly spying over his own citizens, and has them arrested and tortured simply for protesting peacefuly for democracy. But no, that's not newsworthy, is it?

  • @slaballinmytrunk Or Suharto, Pinochet, Mubutu, Franco.

  • damn!!!! fucking liars! Chavez is destroying my country, Venezuela!

  • Michael Prenti...you'r views are one sided too. What's the difference between you and those anti-Chavez? None! Both are partial. Chavez has done good and bad...just like AD & Copei.

  • what bad has he done.... please also back up your claims with evidence....

  • "Chavez has done good and bad"

Parenti is not trying to say Chavez is perfect, just that he isn't a dictator!

  • We've heard all of Parenti's arguments before-from communist propagandists.

  • Oh yeah... and Chavez supports terrorism.

He;s right now building a Plaza in Caracas dedicated to Manuel Marulanda, one of the biggest terrorist in South America.

Watch out people, what chu gonna do about that?

  • Wikipedia: "Luis Posada Carriles"

  • hhahahah this fuckin retard doesnt no anything about whats going on in venezuela chavez is fooling this faggot. just like he does to the people who live in the ranchos. wow Parenti you dont know 2 shits of whta is going on over there.

Imbecil ignorante :)

  • We are no interesting on your opinions about venezuelan people just keep yourself under your own bussiness because your opinion don't help us in anything so go away !

  • Unfortunately the education of the American people on the plight of the people in Venezuala is crucial to South American countries suceeding. This is because the people in this country are too often fooled by the mass media who report our government's propaganda saying that we are looking out for the best intentions of Latin American countries by committing what the World Court has called, "unlawful use of force." If American people become educated it serves Venezuala's interests the most.

  • Take the Spanish Civil War in Barcelona and you see an extremely free and open system of free associations between individuals in all levels of production and trade. That is closer to free market than anything I can imagine, but I'm sure there are examples even less favorable to my beliefs that would support an idea contrary to neoliberalism

  • Well, being that I hold nation-states only to the same very low level of expectations, I valuate decisions like sanctions and things on the level of the people and how they are affected. There are no double standards, because from my perspective the one universla is that governments are systems of class exploitation.

I am not aware of the precise history of Hong Kong but I am aware that its economy was supported by the UK during its time as a colony. But there areclear cases of free mkt...

  • The useful idiot of the next century!

They are running out of Milk and Eggs. Chavez WILL destroy Venezuela by the end of the next few years.

Price controls and Nationalization is going to create more poverty than can possibly be imagined.

  • VIVA CHAVEZ!!!!

  • Nice, we have someone from Australia advocating the forced starvation and destruction of a Country, with policies that have failed every time they have tried it.

Caracas is having food shortages because of the price controls that Chavez instituted. Farmers are not going to produce for those prices.

  • I was just playing around...anyway could you give me some info on the price controls instituted by chavez?? - i'm not agreeing/disagreeing with you, i just want to get some more info on the whole thing...

  • Hugo Chavez sets prices on Consumer goods. For example, say I said you cannot sell Milk for more than a dollar. If you do, the government steals the profits. The same is true for eggs, flour, etc.

This is all in the name of helping the poor.

So, what happens? Farmers refuse to break their backs all day if they cannot make a profit, so they produce nothing. Now Caracas is running out of food!

But, of course Chavez and the Leftists would know this if they understood economics.

  • Well, it's unfair for you to say that such practices are inherently leftist when voices within the left would advocate the exact opposite...that is price floors not price ceilings, setting a floor price higher than the market price to encourage increased production...thank you for this insight anyhow...

  • Oh man...

It is not whether they are setting floors or ceiling...it is the act of setting prices in general that is a Left issue.

If you set a price higher than the market price, people cannot afford the goods, and the cost of living increases for EVERYTHING ALONG WITH IT.

For example, if if the market price for corn is 1.00, and I set it at 2.00, the cost of chickens, (and other farm animals increase who are fed with corn), and poor people can't afford the food.

  • The price floor is only to encourage farming since it has positve externalities for society. The major increases in price occurs with the middle-men/retailers who will purchase produce from farmers at prices that are too low (due to subsidized foriegn imports, market volatility etc)...So by maintaining a floor price, there is a guarantee that enough is produced. I'm assuming that the price ceilings apply to the retailers not the actual farmer who produces the food...yes/no?

  • Positive for whom? Certainly not the poor, if it costs anyone more in the stream of commerce, they need to pass the increase at the point of purchase.

Guarantee that enough is produced? I hate to break it to you, but people need to eat to survive. There is always an incentive to produce food...Always, without exception, so long as the Government stays out.

As the population increases, there is even a greater incentive to produce food in order to make a killing.

  • Positive in the sense that price floors WILL lead farmers to produce more food. Price Floors come in handy when the prices provided by the free market are too low for local farmers to keep their farms viable...especially considering the obscene subsidies provided by the EU and the US to their farmers...your theoretic models seem really simplistic, all i'm saying is that price floors MAY be useful to sustain local agriculture, but then again, we need to look at it on a case by case basis...

  • Prices are simply measurements of supply and demand. You could attempt to attempt to change the temperature outside by resetting the numbers on a thermometer, but it wouldn't do a damn thing other than make you feel good.

There is no need to sustain local agriculture nor use subsidies at the expense of everyone else in society who are forced by government to pay higher prices.

If farmers cannot make a profit, it means their labor is desperately desired to produce something else.

  • disagree. These free market fantasies have ruined the third world...entire regions of farmland are becoming unviable. Let's end it there...

  • If it is unviable, it certainly has nothing to do with the free market.

More likely, the land is a scarce resource with alternative uses, and the economy requires that it be used for something other than farmland.

  • There is no free market in the world. The US economy is a corporate welfare system.

  • The free market means you can buy sell and trade with whomever you want from whatever location you want so long as both parties agree and the government does not stop you.

"Corporate Welfare" is a buzz word, and I doubt you even know what you are saying.

Corporate Welfare is only involved with subsidies, not tax cuts. When you know what the difference is, get back to me.

  • I know that Corporate Welfare implies a welfare system in which corporations are the benefactors. That may not be a buzzword but a justifiably broad signifier. And rightly so I use it, because I do quite mean to signify a broad and profound opposition. I could give you the names of like-minded authors and then tell you to get back with me when you understand the difference between your view and mine, but that would be as useless as your words...

  • If Corporations receive subsidies, cancel them. But, subsidies are not the same thing as tax breaks.

  • Social welfare is not characterized by tax breaks, either. I don't see the analogy

  • Social welfare doesn't work any better than corporate welfare. But, most people use the term tax break for corporations and corporate welfare (subsidies) interchangeably. They are very different.

  • ...... If you yourself would like to ask me a few questions you may. It is a matter of philological belief that I ground myself in dialectical materialism and other analytic structures. Corporate Welfare in the pejorative use of the word is a matter of fact from the standpoint of dialectical materialism.

Now don't get so affectionate with me, a stranger. How might you conclude that I personally and exclusively, am not familiar with the subject I wrote about? That is perverse and/or random.

  • The Free Market has worked to uplift the poor in every place it has been implemented in the history of the world.

Economic Sanctions are the opposite of the free market. They enclose a country and keep it from Free Market Capitalism.

Ironically, those people who find it inhumane to use economic sanctions on foreign countries advocate it on ourselves in the form of protectionism.

  • WEll, I hardly know of a place where there has been a free market in the world. If you were to propose a free market I would be in full agreement, but this is not what we have.

What are you refering to by economic sanctions? With regards to Venezuela the only sanctions have been issued by the US.

I don't find economic sanction inhumane per se, I find neoliberal capitalism inhumane, as well as the nation-state structure.

  • Hong Kong as pretty much a pure free market, and it demonstrates why in less than 50 years the country has lifted itself out of poverty.

I'm referring to economic sanctions, meaning trade embargoes, or refusal to trade with countries. It is amazing to see the same people why cry about economic sanctions that cut countries off from the free market, attack the free market.

  • And there are arguments against the trickle-down concept and the IMF with regards to Nicaragua, Argentina, and other places. These are relatively open countries to American and British business and yet things aren't working out for them

  • Open to what? They aren't open to trade. Leftists legally advocate the taking over of foreign business the second those businesses try to invest there.

Argentinian factors that were invested with foreign money in Argentina were legally seized by collective mobs. What a terrible example.

  • Did you read my other replies? I think accidentally posted them as new threads.

Yes, There have been attempts to answer the crisis caused in Argentina. How does that negate the example?

Who are these "leftists" you are referring to? I really don't understand. Like I said, I valuate things like sanctions in their value to the people affected. Why would I disagree with anyone, nationalist or communist, who rioted for bread like in the barrios before Chavez won

  • "Why would I disagree with anyone, nationalist or communist, who rioted for bread like in the barrios before Chavez won."

The right to life is the source of all rights—and the right to property is their only implementation. Without property rights, no other rights are possible. Since man has to sustain his life by his own effort, the man who has no right to the product of his effort has no means to sustain his life. The man who produces while others dispose of his product, is a slave.

  • I agree. That is the fundamental principle of my syndicalism and libertarianism. Property rights, namely the right of the worker to owning the means of production, is essential to human liberty. I conclude with my above post, but I wish you the best.

  • And I don't understand your use of "factors"

  • I meant "factories"

  • Um, just looking at your other videos I'm not really sure you have any intentions of discussing anything with me but with arguing. I have made it clear that I am an libertarian socialist, have I not? I do not feel like debating the precepts of my belief, but if you are wishing to debate for the initial issues we will, but I'm afraid you're back to mud slinging.

  • Okay...well, I answered your question of why you should be against people's violent stealing of other people's private property that they did not produce or earn.

  • Excuse me, you are aware that I rather to the contrary disagreed with you, right? What is this further affection you display for me- it is unsettling.

  • I suppose you are referring to the US led coup against Salvador Allende, or to the bombing of Piazza Fontana....

  • Allende literally was destroying his country with record unemployment, inflation, and the confiscation of land. Chile is now the economic superpower of South America.

Had Allende stayed in power, it would have looked worse than Cuba.

  • Look, I disagree with you and would love to discuss this, but the moment you find an occassion to do so you sling mud and manipulate my words to attack my dignity. That's an awful way to talk to anybody, you know? How can you repect yourself or myself when you manipulate my words like you did below?

  • Manipulate what words?

  • "The Free Market has worked to uplift the poor in every place it has been implemented in the history of the world."

You know... there outta be a price for this kind of crap.

  • Viva Hugo viva Venezuela. Pity Mrgeorgie246 ...he can't help being a monkey with no banana!

  • haha nice

    ok ok...whre do you live?

if you live in vzla..then you have all the right to go for him...if you dont

    please stfu

  • The brave people of Venezuela are an inspiration to opressed people. We Shall overcome

  • Viva Hugo viva Venezuela Viva justice!!!

Watch out for the nasty American capitalists who want to bring murder and death and poverty to your country again. Don't be bribed by Yankee dollars. Don't betray your country don't betray your people. Don't fight for foreigners.

  • bet nigga you wont say shit walkin in the streets.say that shit alout and nigga you know you gonna get your ass kicked..you only say it in outube because nigg..noone is gonna attack you..

  • Well we can see what mindset you inhabit...the one where violence rules. Just remember though that even the biggest bullies get their 'ass kicked' when they push their luck too far. Live by the sword 'nigga' and you will surely die by it too.

  • go to sleep and masturbate to math equations

    ..i know what im doin..

  • I don't know if you thought that comment through pal....firstly it is impossible to go to sleep and then masturbate. Secondly mathematical equations aren't sexually stimulating. Thirdly, I have a sexy woman who will masturbate me if I want to be mastrubated. Alright ya prick with no japs eye! Hahaha you fool

  • The trouble with the rich is that they think all others must be poor for them to be truly rich.

They are at heart evil. They don't want more than enough only.....they want others to have less than enough. They want to look down with disdain. They want to snear. They want to see pain and suffering around them but not be part of it. They are evil bastards.

  • Thank God the poor are rising up for their rights!!!

  • Ok- this guy is beyond wrong on his points. Our govenrment is more corrupt than ever.

  • es il loco lmao this dude sayin this kuz he clearly not from VZLA if he wuz he wuldnt b praising him

  • You are correct.

    nojoda

  • YEAH!! FREE EDUCATION RICH BIATCHES!! I can't wait to see the completion of the Latin American Union, Petroamerica, and the Bank of the South. Take that World Bank. Take that Western influence. Brazil, Uruguay, and the other large Latin countries say yes to Chavez.

  • The CRISIS in Venezuela is the lack of Abortion for Women.

Women are kept poor due to having kids, so they have no time for College. Women can not engage in the theoretical debate, because they are too busy changing diapers, cooking, etc.

Venezuela is now the lighting rod for world socialism. Youtube: paul8kangas We must spread the Rev. to America. Yes we need free medical care in the US.

  • So the crisis in Venezuela is lack of abortion?Yeah that's all it isNo wonder Bush got in! How about Birth Control? Never heard of that?Or maybe there are so many women that change their mind after the fact thatabortion would make a noticeable difference.I can't help wondering if abortion had of been more readily available when you were conceived if you might have been aborted! But then unfortunately, we wouldn't have the pleasure of your brilliant comments and insight.

  • YOU ARE SAYING THAT BECAUSE THERE ARE BETTER DENTAL CARE and other missions implemented THE VENEZUELAN PEOPLE SHOULD TURN THERE EYES AWAY FROM ALL THE ABUSIVE, MANIPULATED, UNLAWFUL DECEIVING ACTS OF CHAVEZ AND HIS FOLLOWERS.AND THERE OMNIPOWER AND THERE INTENTION TO KEEP IT AS LONG AS THEY WANT. CHAVEZ IS A WIFE BEATER, HEDONISTIC, CRAZY, M.F. THAT FOUND RESONANCE IN A BUNCH OF OLD 60'S LOOSER OR THEIR RELATIVES WITH A THIRTS FOR REVENGE

  • Would you give me a reliable source about Chavez the "WIFE BEATER", and "CRAZY". I'm very interested in reading that please.

  • ♥ bn dicho nojodaa! mereces un abrazote!

  • Most of you people commenting are Americans. If I were you guys i would worry about Dictator Bush instead of Chavez. At least he was voted in..loool. Were is the truth in this world. Why is a good person seen as evil and bad person seeing as good? May god save us from falsehood and guide those who are lost in it.

  • They really need to bring education back into the American public school system but unfortunately if they do that then Bush will have to reinstate the military draft! LOL

  • chavez can only do so much.knows he gets his power from helping the people,he wouldnt be n his position unless he did in the first place.though surley if he is so persisent he could change many things, though he still has the muggy waters of a corrupt, firmly in place system to wade through.

  • Aw, poor little dictator. Dictatorships pretty much the most corrupt forms of government in history, so whatever it is, he's making it much much worse. Just look at Cuba for an example of what is coming to Venezuala in the next few decades.

  • Corruption and Poverty have been accepted by the elite driven 2 party majority system since 1958. Dictators don't ask for democratic formation such as the Bolivarian Circles headed and controlled through their shared power no different than united parents in the U.S. coming together to give better input for the management of our schools. Dictators don't appeal to the poor majority just for their needs.

  • Dictators at last are not elected by 56.2% by FAR the highest since four decades ago that always range around 30.0% for the past elected presidents of Venezuela. And It was made public that Hugo advised his supporters never to use violence against the opponents and yet we find violence was used when Chavistas were attacked first. In Many cases it was found that they defended themselves from military fire not opposition fire.

  • And I heard it was 'made public' that power hungry Chavez was the second coming of Christ, too, and that his murderous 'Chavista ' gangs were being considered for a Nobel Peace Prize.

Seriously, how gullible, how stupid are you?

  • One last comment I would insist people think about the black people of the U.S. and the lynchings that happened here. In Venezuela it's common for Indians and other working class dark people to be violently harassed even commonly murdered by the opposition; words I've seen the opposition scream such as "INDIAN SHIT", "STUPID SAVAGES", and "WHORES". Rodney King's beating prompted black people to destroy and reap revenge day after day.

  • in other words he lags on so many things he is supposed to do! :p

  • Chavez is killing people with his 'Chavista' mobs. A coworker of mine lived there for several years and barely managed to get out alive. The elections are rigged and his opponents and their supporters are severely intimidated and jailed. He's rewritten the constitution and packed the court with his own sycophants.

The man is a murderer who tried to kill his way into the presidency ~1992, don't believe these leftist propagandists!!!

  • Your co worker is a liar. he just wants sympathy from others to make like he is so lucky to be alive and he survived hell. Workers would be better off in a society like Venezuela rather than other countries, especially in yearsto come. workers power!!! Chavez is just the begining!

  • No, she's not. She lived there. She couldn't even go outside for groceries for the last few months for fear of the Chavistas.

But you go right ahead, swallow Hugo's load.

  • idiot! what kind of reply is that! sick typical Gringo!

  • So you've given up claiming that she's making it all up? You're no longer swallowing Hugo's propaganda load?

  • Who are you? Are you from Venuzuela? I'm from the U.S. and am tired of trying to find out the truth about Chavez. He seems like a good man.

  • "Who are you? Are you from Venuzuela? I'm from the U.S. and am tired of trying to find out the truth about Chavez. He seems like a good man. "

In that case you tire way too easily. He's a dictator. And you are a fool if you buy one second of this propoganda.

  • propaganda, health care in Venezuela has been

available to all who have sought it for the last seventy years in public institutions. This includes dental care even medication in

some administrations. The state paid for these services, or as the leftist call it free.

  • Chavez is evil. I don't like Bush, either. But in 17 months Bush will be gone. Chavez will cling to power like the dictator he is.

  • What are u talkin about, man?Hugo Chavez has won 6 elections in a row (from local to presidential) all of them certified by ex-president Carter organization. Bush has only won thanks to irregularities in the counting machines in Florida and the help of his brother and currupt judges. Try and change ur own country into a democracy before u speak about Chavez, bro.

  • Are you familiar with the statements and "suggestions" that Chavez has made regarding the legal term limits in his country? But more importantly, be patient...watch him as he clings...clings...clings to power.

  • If the people want him, who gives a shit! It's dictatorship of the proletariat!

  • Ah yes...mob rule. The majority stomps all over the minority. Of course, we are only talking about a majority of votes in an election...not an actual majority supporting each and everything that the dictator Chavez does. (Did you see the news recently about Chavez threatening the private schools?...keep watching...there will be more tyranny.)

  • It's not tyranny for the majority, however. Even under Stalin, the vast majority of people were far, far better off than under the Tsar or even Lenin.

  • Tell that to the millions that Stalin PURPOSELY starved to death. After Stalin died he was almost universally condemned by soviet leaders. The Tsar was the lesser of the evils you have listed.

  • Wrong. Stalin didn't purposefully starve millions of people. That has been proven false. The reason why they condemned Stalin is because they wanted power. The truth is only 796,000 people died under Stalin. The starvations all happened because of a natural famine plus sabotage. The truth is Stalin is the most popular leader of Russia-- and that's a fact.

  • Russian sources as indicated in the Gulag

Archipelago indicate that 66 to 100 millon

died from 1919 to 1959, corroborated by the

Livre Noir du Communisme and the Rise and

Fall of the Soviet Empire. This includes

those millions who died due to erroneous

economic policies such as price controls

    and forced collectivism.

  • Incorrect. That thing is nothing more than propaganda-- in fact, Nazi propaganda.

  • You should know you invented it.

  • WOW, a pro-Stalinist propagandist. Some people have no shame.

  • How dare you say that to Russians who suffered under the horrors of a feudal theocracy, where women were abused, where pogroms were organized against the Jews regularly, where no one could read. Under Stalin and Lenin, those things were ended. Stalin doubled the life expectancy of his people, he uplifted women's station, he outlawed racism and anti-Semitism, and he dealt with all the quislings and Nazis in Russia, before the real Nazis showed up.

  • My sources for those numbers are J. Arch Getty, Michael Parenti, and Grover Furr.

  • Michael Parenti is hopelessly left wing. But Gettys website says:

"His research seeks to understand how the greatest experiment of the 20th century, led by a movement that grew out of rational, enlightened, egalitarian, and democratic traditions resulted in dictatorship and the deaths of millions of its own people."

  • Most people who object to individual liberty use "egalitarianism" as their justification. Another justification is the word "democracy"...incorrectly defined as "majority-elected government rule". 2000 years ago democracy meant "self-rule of the (individual) person". Today the term for that is "self-government".

  • Never judge people but judge their ideas. Hugo Chavez has anti-imperialist and that's very good. i don't like the IMF, world bank, WTO, G8, EU, NAFTA,... neither. those are working for the few wealthy of this world. Long live Chavez and let him spread the fire. In memory of Atatürk...Yaşasın Devrim! - Viva la Revolucion!

  • Tell that to those 56 who died February 4,

1992 and those who followed in their footsteps due to this serial killers ambition

    for power.

  • Never judge people but judge their ideas. • fuck off!! Venezuela is located in a NEW continent... can't be as good as Europe, I don't say better than the USA becouse the USA is quite a shit place anyway and the goverment and USA people think that they're the best of the whole world... I think you shouldn't even be making opinions about what's none of ur business.... EVEN EUROPE STARTED POOR!!! so shut the hell up!! leave my country alone!!!

  • The mindless masses in america live in the Matrix.

You cannot tell them that their government is tyrannical.

You cannot tell them that poverty is political.

They cannot see the path that this nation is going down.

You cannot tell them that their media and entertainment is controlled by government.

The ignorance of the people and failure to take back control of the governmetn will be the downfall of this nation.
