I see what you mean. I started cowashing awhile ago and my hair and scalp had so much build up. Now I just wash, deep condition, then a week later I co wash. They I start the cycle all over again...wash, dc, week later co wash. This works for me! I also sometimes before a cowash I pour warm water with ACV in it over my head and rinse it. Gets build up off before cowashing. It helps.
Oh, April! I am so happy for you! Praises to God and blessing to you! P.S. You don't know how encouraging it is that you said (no physical intimacy yet). Thanks, and be blessed!
one day Id like you to try spritzin with water, then add Lustrasilk olive oil cholesterol, then parnevu t-tree growth creme, then Zero frizz gel, This makes my hair moist, and curly, even though i have a different texture than you but im curious of how this would work in your hair.
You're hair and videos are all so beautiful..you're just so graceful :) Yourself & a few other ladies here on Youtube have really inspired me and taught me a lot. I was thinking about relaxing my hair again (after a year and 5 months natural) because I just could not find products that work and through Youtube I found you ladies which led me to Komaza Care and I think the products are excellent for our hair type...how is the Moku Hair Oil? Is it greasy or more of a cream like the coconut lotion?
@Apriluv7779 Oh No! I hope you don't.. your hair is awesome just the way it is...and you can always blow it out and wear it straight..there is nothing like natural hair...and you have a beautiful texture..just my two sense Dont Do It! lol...I think about it all the time but the pain and stress I went through- no thanks! happily nappy
@missree1995 The shampoo does not dry out my hair. I have used the shampoo to remove product build up. It does cleanse my hair; removing all the build up from conditioners and other hair products. Removing the build up is important in order that your deep conditioners work better.
My hair is similar to your hair but thicker and I also agree with you about condition washing. They never worked for me. My hair also felt coated and products did not work well using the condition wash method.
I'm so glad you found the culprit of your dry hair! I agree, if a technique or product is not working in your regimen, it's ok to eliminate it. Btw, your hair looks great!
I can see the difference in your hair. It does look lighter. I never knew a clarifying shampoo could clean like that. I'm so glad you did a review on the rain product. I can't wait to see the results of your twist out.
I used the Giovanni 50/50 Balannced Clarifying Shampoo for normal to dry hair...and it left my hair so wonderful...I had terrible build up....I have to Clarify and DC 1x a week...But I am loving Giovanni shampoo for clarifying it left it frizz free and moisturized ..it is a great Natural shampoo
I notice in another one of your videos, you seal in the moisture with extra virgin olive oil. How often do you use that oil instead of this moisturizer?
I really want to protect my hair this summer since it's now brushing my shoulders but the humidity keeps my twists from drying completely after 24 hrs. The humidity does however keep my hair soft, but too much = rough, swollen strands. It's very interesting how climate and season can affect the hair. Taren196 was talking about how the NYC weather swells her hair. I guess the variations allow for new style discoveries! I'm going to have to find styles to accommodate my big hair I guess.

Are you sure the shampoo didn't dry your hair out?

Clarifying shampoos make my hair feel waxy or something. I don't like them at all.
