ive noticed that on pump fuel a turbo with around a 62mm front wheel ie a GT3540 or T62 makes around 400hp at the wheels in Australia and 600hp at the wheels in the USA. Also noticed both cars run the same MPH at the 1/4 mile.... Food for thought...

Yeah- EVERYONE I know, who wants to put down some serious time slips at the track, runs their intake right at the turbo compressor opening without any filter assmbly. Sometimes there will be a steel mesh screen, but not if they're "serious" about time slips. Too risky for me, IMO.

There are Millions upon Millions of Turbo engines all over the world that do not have inter-coolers, the inter-cooler is needed to run HIGH boost pressures, and cooler air can run richer, richer mixture means more power.
