I am having a tourble with the mouse

it seems that when I try to use it after I leave it for 3~4 seconds without moving (while typing for example) , it hangs in it's place for about half a second then it starts responding to me

I have no idea what's that about

i hate those EXTREMELY ergonomic waved keyboards though. this is just slight curved which is perfect

its 2.4ghz wireless technology, ment for short range wireless connectively. you could argue about that with cell phones, but not with this.

and yes i think this keyboard and mouse set are awesome. keyboards i dont mind having wires, but the mouse makes life so much better without a wire snagging it around.

if you really hate wireless, then why u watching this?

I just got one from Amazon, supposedly new but all scratched up. Connection problems with Keyboard and Mouse!!! Its only 3-4 feet away! I wonder if i bought a piece of crap from Amazon?

i had the wireless 6000, rubber on the scroll wheel melt after 2 years, little chunk falling off end up jaming up the wheel, mouse case paint comes off after couple of month. key board where great but the panited letter on keys starting comes off after a year ish especially the WASD key, it died after 2 years cause the lazer died. just wonder if u hav the same ploblem or just me being unlucky again

haha well ive ha the 6000 and 7000 both for about a year now

my scroll wheel is perfectly fine, no wearing or melting on it

the finish on the mouse does wear down a little after use, so it feels more glossy than matte but the paint itself is still their

the keys on my 06000 are noticbl worn down after typing so much but that happens on all keyboards, but microsoft puts a clear film on the letters so they dont wear . keysare worn but the letters all their

lol well u do have three year warrenty on ur keyvoard.

call up microsoft and tell them ur 6000 is defective and they will replace it. u dont even need to send ur old one back.

if u do end up getting the 5000, thats a new one out i belivee. if its blutrack mouse then its the new one

@randomrazr yeah lucky me the lazer died b4 warrenty run out, n they didn't have any new 1 at the office so i got 90% refund which was great, totally unheard of (consider how ugly it looks after 2 years). or else never microsoft again eh n if i think again i really wasn't that unlucky eh i got a brand new keyboard set for free beacuse the lazer died just in time right after it start melting when i starting to really really bloody hate it

i hvae to admit though i have had similar problems with ur situation on the 6000 series keyboard.

anyways i suggest u try reseting ur connection, that may help and slapping in new batteries, if that fails that call microsoft they will replace it for free

I think it is most likely the 2.4ghz connection which is quite a polluted frequency in my computer room. 3 to 4 wireless devices, phones etc. Ive moved the wireless away from the local area, moved my phones to Dect6 which works on a different frequency, it seems better. But if i bring my iphone close to the keyboard ive noticed it will miss the occasional key stroke as well. Still working on it as I do really like the look of this keyboard and mouse.

but ur right its definately a nice looking keyboard! i like the wave design too, makes typing a bit more confortable

@BansheeBoater get the right driver, then go to computer, setting, go to mouse select the the correct model do the same at keyboard setting. DON"T JUST PLUG N PLAY!!!!!

if its is connection that bug u, i guess u hav plug the usb dongle striaght into I/O usb port, try route away from the back of ur pc via usb cable.

i had the 6000 too it died after 2 years. so i know

I have a couple of questions: 1) Are you a gamer and do you use this keyboard for gaming? If yes, is it good and what is the latency like? 2) How many keys can you press at one time, especially in the WASD area?

1)no im not a gamer but if your concerned about connection, i havent had any problems with losig connection (just make sure the battries arent old but it will let u know if their starting to be low)

2) i dont know how many keys i type but i type ALOTand if ur concern was losing keystrokes,that has never happened to me before.

i would say though this keyboard and mouse isnt built for INTENSE gaming but if u want something slick and functional,this is a good buy

Hey man i bought this keyboard only second hand and i recieved a lead with a box that says microsoft and i cant seem to connect the keyboard to the computer please help. It also sayd microsoft wireless 7000 keyboard at the back and its a geniune but i dont connect Please help Ill sub Thanks

plug ut in, hit the button, it will start to blink, then on ur keyboard, hit the connect button, the blinking light should stop and should be connected

well, for the 7000, i would get the set cause they look really nice together.

if u want "just" the keyboard, u wont have any luck with the 7000, but the 6000 keyboard does come separately

haha well if you like this design, then u got 2 options

get the entire set and just not use the mouse, cause the keyboard can work without it. i guess it could be ur backup mouse

second, if u really just want to invest in a keyboard, ur best bet is the 6000. the only didfferences are touch senitive shortcut keys instead of buttons, and a black glossy finish and chrome trimming around the keyboard. say ur basically paying for more of a suped up keyboard for the 7000

other then that both keyboards have the same layout and keys. both keyboards will last u 6+ months for battery life.

Yeah it was between this one and the Logitech Wave keyboard for me. I like the "half-ergo" style the best....so I'm trying to decide the difference between the two. Have you used the Wave yet?

ive seen and tried it for a few seconds at the store.

i dont like how on the wave the keys are thick and tall.

on the microsoft ones the keys are more like laptop keys but not quite, they have the thick keyy build and feel of desktop keys but are short and flat like laptop style keys which i like.

my suggestion, if ur ever in best buy or staples, they will have both these keyboards on display so u can try it out urself and chose what u prefer is best.

the 7000 i have is microsofts second top of the line keyboard. the top of the line keyboard they have is the 8000 kkeyboard but its freakin almost 200 dollars.
