Joanna Lumley looks absolutely amazing! This is weird for me to see her like this. The first time i saw her in a movie, she had harsh make-up, ugly hair and eyeshadow ( playing a villain) or looking like she does in "ab fab". Why would they make this beautiful woman look so evil?

sadly the disater of the big screen version has killed any chance of a revival, plus the cost these days, people ( or tight tv studios) want kitchen sink semi soap dramas set around everyday jobs and council estates.

how i miss those glamour 70`s action series with secret agents, robots, giant mutant monsters, the third reich and alien man eating plants ( well, that was in a 60`s episode!!!)

but a remake on tv could happen, the new" dr. who" was a hit and revived tv sci-fi!!!

It's a shame that The New Avengers only survived two seasons - and the second of those lost a lot of the real Avengers feel, thanks to the French/Canadian influence.They needed more UK money and were on the verge of returning in 1980 for another series but it didn't happen.

BRILLIANT!! Never seen this before. Isn't Jo particularly STUNNING in this? Tinged with sadness though, seeing Gareth :-( But thank HISTORY they screen tested Jo. I can't imagine Purdey as anyone else! (Philippa, it's me Chris aka: "Mike Gambit" ;-)

I love Joanna and Garreth Together! good job on the casting people to test her otherwise Purdey might not have been the great Purdey we know and love! So bad they didn't get to do that special :(
