Okay, after I just praised the hell out of your wonderful plot, I have stumbled upon an issue that needs clarification. Why did Sarah's refusal of Jareth cause Darkness to take over? Breaking his heart is hardly as bad as destroying the light of the world. What's the connection between Sarah and Lily? Is it perhaps that Lily destroyed light, dreams, hope, etc. and Sarah refused the dreams Jareth offered her, hence she destroyed that part of the Labyrinth that is good and magical?
OMG major major MAJOR props. 1) I love both movies obsessively 2) I usually hate fanfic 3) I usually hate crossovers of existing films BUT you have somehow managed to combine Legend and Labyrinth to stay true to both stories and I LOVE this idea! I never could believe in Sarah/Jareth romance fanfic because it ended so badly, and racked my brains for ways to make them get together, and you've done it. Forcing them to work together against Darkness would totally bring them closer. I applaud. :)

Jareth was never evil, Sara needed a "vilan" in her journey through the labrynth, so he became one. He did it all for love. He was heartbroken in the end, when she refused him.

And the ones making the music for The last Samurai and Narnia are respectively Hans Zimmerman, and Harry Gregson-Williams & Stephen Barton. As for Treasure Planet, it's James Newton Howard. So either one of these artists blatantly stole identical musical parts from the other or it was taken from Treasure Planet.
For if it would have been the same person for Treasure Planet and The Last Samurai or Narnia, then it could have been a possibility since sometimes composers "reuse" their own pieces or use the same cords or instruments... (You can hear similarities in the works of composers such as James Horner, Danny Elfman, etc)

well from watching the film he only ever does what she ask's of him and it's clear he is bound by his own rule's as reguards to the Labyrinth, you also have to remeber that he gave her an amazing advenchure, a new prespective on life and a greater understanding and love for her brother. Brain Froud who helped Jim Henson when makeing the Labyrinth stated as much, Jareth was a fae, bound to rule the Goblin Kingdom, it wasn't a job he wonted but he does it.
I also think it was Sarahs belife and imginaion that also drew him to her, he saw a girl full of imgnaion and wonder and belife and he couldn't resist, thats why he gifted her with the power of a wish.
Yes, another great story. Even though Jareth is evil, Sarah could making him a better Goblin King and then they can be together. Sorry, I just think there is this forbidden love between the two of them. They can't be together. Their worlds and lives won't allow it, but in each of their hearts they know they won't love anyone else like they loved each other. And this is me shutting up now. Sorry.
Do you know I've never thought of Jareth as evil! He's fae as far as I can see, a trickster and slightly cruel, (I'm a wee bit of a Fae nut case :D ) but never evil. It's clear he has a thing for Sarah but she was far too young to understand at the time what he was offering her.
In this story Jareth certenly come's across as a little evil, but in the end he and Sarah will have to join force's to drive back the Darkness and maybe, just maybe begin to see each other in a diffrent light :)
