@MrSantafe307 Only for testing purposes. And in this area where it's at the top of a rise, I can check how well a car rolls by rolling it to the right, where it will go down a grade for about 4 feet or so.

That is an Atlas Electro-Motive Demonstrator GP7, that lists for around $85 from the company, but IIRC, I paid about $70 for it. It's fairly old, with that run released in 2001.
I listen to a radio scanner while working on the layout, listening to 2 law enforcement freqs., the local CSX yard, and a local delivery business.
It's some sort of paging tone, probably the law, as when the railroad tones up the dispatcher about 90 miles downriver, it a much different sound, 2 tones about 2-3 seconds long each, with a distinct break in between.

I think that sound came from dispatch to an ambulance, I hear it all the time on my scanner and it always is to an ambulance...

45 units(2 locos,42 hoppers,caboose),in case you didn't want to count.Made up of Kato,Atlas,Athearn,Con-Cor,LBF,Model Power.
Passing sidings and staging blocks are laid out to hold an entire coal train.
