There is a way to shut off the flash without restarting the phone. Go back into camera mode turn the flash back on then go to video and the flash shuts itself off.
Another cool thing you can do is make one your favorite song a ringtone, what you do is, if you have texting, is record your favorite song in the My Sounds folder. Go to it after its done recording and click on Send. Send the "sound message" to your own phone (in other words, instead of another persons number, type your number in). Close the phone and wait a sec. A thing will say you have a text. You open it and you can save it as a ringtone!

i had trouble with that too it might not make since but trust me it works what you do is one the lights on and the phones open you turn off the flash using the side button under the volume then you can switch to video mode an also btw the flash stays on even when the phones closed so to turn it off you need to turn off your phone and turn it back on
its awesome but theres one problem: you cant turn the flash off you have to restart the phone ! but if you can turn it off then can you pleeease tell me how!

Wow this is great, thanks so much for finding this hack. Although I found the light gets pretty warm if used for a over like 30 seconds to a minute.
