The BRS in anime and Game are 2 different BRS...

One is an android that fight for human race. (A bit like Megaman)

Another is an alter ego of Kuroi Matou, Kuroi Matou is a school girl, and BRS is her alter ego in another dimension...

Nevertheless, they're both cool.

@KidManga69 anime is airing January 2012. Eight episodes though. You can actually find a trailer or two for it. It uses a similar art style from the OVA, although for some reason it kind of ruined the characters (in my opinion).

I think they changed B★RS' voice actor from the OVA. It's not bad, but it doesn't exactly suit my tastes for her ideal voice. :X

@jdhaiti1 this isnt a show. This is actually a game. but the show, you might be refering to to the hour long OVA of Black★Rock Shooter. This game is Black★RockShooter. It's for the PSP, and possibly Japan exclusive. Hope this helped.
