REAL bass players know how to play both with a pick and without. They create different sounds. Why would you limit yourself to one style? It has nothing to do with talent, if that's what you're implying.
This group may be TRYING to cover the Primus version of the Pink Floyd song but I'm just not feeling it. Les & the group made a wonderfully bass-driven version that was not better or worse than the Pink Floyd song...just different. Where Pink Floyd's version has that funkiness & feels like floating in warm water, Primus' version is just dirtier and kinda sexy, hitting ya deep down in the naughty bits. This group's version is just flat & doesn't have any of that magic of either band.
@Approachable1 OK. I just realized that the guy who posted this called it a Primus version of the song. My point is that there is no difference in lyrics or song structure. Only the sound of the instrumentation and the sound of Les' voice, neither of which I'm about to accuse this group of duplicating. So, my beef, dear sir, is not with you. You appear only to be acknowledging how the video is tagged/named. In fact, the poster himself call it that prolly cuz he's a primus fan first.

The dislikes probably would not outnumber the likes if the video was titled properly.. as this is neither Primus or Pink Floyd
