i think you can't mount this on the window in california.

Legally you are right, however it is not enforced and you won't get a ticket for it unless you are a real jerk to the Officer.

lol, i'll keep that in mind! i've just bought the 3225 from costco. not sure if there's anything different .. other than being a costco model. i'll share my findings.
My apologies for the shoddy video quality. It's actually much better, but I could not get it to render in high quality in Vegas Video.
