In the year 1980 during the 7th year of the OPEC oil embargo (thank god it's not like that today, even gas prices are horrible), the cost of milk per gallon is higher than gas! In 1980, the US dollar devalued, but gold was $800 (or in today's dollars: $1,600) an ounce, but it's $1,000per ounce right now. The US economy back in 1980 when I was born is just as bad it is in 2008, imagine 25-30 year olds grew up their whole lives in a screwed up economy and the 5th recession in that time period. +

correct, at the time it was KARD NBC 3. Now its KSNW NBC 3. KARD is FOX 14 Monroe, Louisiana.
