Would adding carbon fiber handlebars decrease the weight noticeably or are the aluminum handlebars just fine? I'm thinking of retrofitting a Madone with an electric assist kit so the bike needs to be as light as possible to compensate for the motor and battery weight.
I got a 20% discount on the frame because my front fork on the older madone started cracking.
Its total weight is 15.3lbs with the cages, peddals and my garmin.
The wheels are tubulars, I just wanted to try tubulars out since I have another set. So far in 5 weeks that I rode this bike for, I have never used the other set of wheels.
Also TCT carbon is made in China, the 6 series is still OCLV and handmade in USA, that is why I wanted the 6 series.
@traviswilliams that´s right. But I´m going to get a Madone too, but I just want it with the Sram Force and Race Lite Wheels, and the 5.5 got the same components, but she´s 600 € cheaper. But with the OCLV 2 frame I can order the H! geometry...damn what should I choose?? :D:D
That bike is clean! I'm trying to decide between a similar build and a Specialized Tarmac Expert. Could you post your frame size and overall bike weight?
Damn that is nice looking bike. Great taste in the color choice. I don't even want to ask how much that put you back, because I'de probably hate myself haha. Enjoy!!!
already has the yellow jersey paint scheme

wow great bike!
I wouldn´t buy this bike, I´d by the Madone 5.5 because
appart from your wheels (hoot wheels!!!) there is no difference between them, just a little in performance, but more in price
anyway, great bike, OCLV 2-carbon is better than TCT.

@Powercomputer005 There is a difference. The 6.2 is built in the U.S.A. 5.5 is not. Worth the premium in my opinion.

@Powercomputer005 Components can always be upgraded. You are stuck with the frame. GO FOR IT!!
