@elucidater87 Thanks I respect where you are coming from and to be honest there are good and bad in all religions. Here on youtube it's a good place to air your views which you wouldn't normally do in casual conversation.

I will say I think Mohammed had a remarkable life and was influenced by Christains and Jews and taking into context of his times with the kind of people he had to deal with did remarkably well and brought many people back to a good path. I don't believe he is a prophet however

@elucidater87 Well Deutronomy refers to the line of Isaac not Ishmael so that's easily refuted. In fact if I was searching for the truth that is where I would start. I have heard of the Song of Songs comment but that's fairly new to me but I've seen it refuted easily on the internet but it's too much uneccessary detail for a comment on youtube, just google it.

@elucidater87 They overwhelming majority of Christians believed jesus was the son, it was the exact nature of sonship that was contested. Hence the nicene creed. The only mixed messages are from muslim apologetics. You have to literally take the bible apart, even if you take the divinity of Christ out of things you still have a problem with mission of Jesus which is contrary to muslim theology and against what Jews predicted about the prophesies of the Messiah.

@elucidater87 Finally Jesus died in flesh not in spirit. I have many muslim friends and can see the good in what they do. I'm not trying to convert you. However if you apply logic to me you have to apply it to yourself, if Mohammed was such an important prophet why isn't he clearly mentioned in the bible? At least several times, and you will have a very hard time convincing any Christian or Jew who knows their bible based on common argumants normally used by muslims.

If you look back at Jewish law a Ram I believe was sacrificed and the blood sprinkled as an atonement for sins. You could easily say why would God need to do that? Jesus is the prophisied suffering servant and sacrificial lamb, even Jews who don't believe in Jesus believe that the messiah will suffer

@elucidater87 It is 100% clear. There are many refernces to Jesus's divinity in the bible, you have to be reading the new testament back to front in a very peculiar way to not understand that. Also Jesus performed miricles at times and told those who he healed to tell no-one for similar reasons. I have no problem with that, it's not deception, it's common sense pertaining to the circumstances of the time.

Just to add, I think apologists like to twist words to deny the obvious.  Reading the gospels even before getting to Paul it's obvious to me that Jesus is divine. I also think that Jesus was careful not to go shouting from the roof tops that he was God because inevitably the consequences would be the death penalty and Jesus had to fulfill all the prophecies about him before that could happen.

@hen8167 Without being boastful it's by faith that I can see the logic in his behaviour. Why was it when he tested Peter by saying, 'Who do you say I am', that Peter replies,'You are the Christ the Son of the living God'. He blesses Peter and tells him that the father revealed that to him. Yet it's a private revelation, everything happens for a reason and a purpose and who are we to question God. Just because God doesn't match up to your image of what he should b doesn't invalidate his divinity

@NLT31 Peter answered correctly. Peter did not say you are God the son. HE said "you are the Christ son of the living god" which is true, he is the christ. But he is not the begotten son of god. The term son of god was used by many characters in the bible, incliding prophets and kings or ordainary people. Looks like god has sons by the dozens in the bible.

@hen8167 As I answered previously, I'm aware it is used in the Old testament at times but to be fair very sparingly. With Jesus it is used on many occasions and thinking in context there is a significance to Peters revelation which is fair to conclude that this sonship has significant meaning. It certainly isn't in the context that we are all sons and daughters of God, that would make no sense.

@NLT31  i also suggest doing research oh the translation of the bible from the original hebrew to the greek and other languages. there are missinterpretations purposly and accidently. Did you know that in the old testament the prophet daniel gets "worshipped" by a king...how is that possible....unless they used the wrong interpretation and its not really supposed to be worship.

@elucidater87 Well I have to say I don't know where that comes from. I can only assume from watching some debates where muslim scholars have populated this belief in their apologetics. Just one example is During Christ's trial, the chief priests asked Him point blank, "Tell us if you are the Christ, the Son of God." And He said,

"I am." (Mark 14:60-62)

"Yes, it is as you say." (Matt. 26: 63-65)

"You are right in saying I am." (Luke 22:67-70)

If trinity is correct then why was it not introduced earlier at the time of Moses and the old testament? Why Jews don't believe in trinity since they're also people of the same book?

The Trinity is a fabrication. It makes no sense but Christians don't seem to be bothered that they can't explain such a fundamental tenet of their religion (belief in the Trinity).

@rli421 Well if you look in the Old Testament you will see that there are some references although I don't have them specifically at hand that refer to the spirit of God or Gods spirit working or guiding someone. That seems like a seperation of God yet we know it's God that's 2 sides of God as for Christ you only have to read the passage where he is testing Peter by asking him who he was and Peter replied by saying, "You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God."

@swiftspy Actually, Christians are admonished to diligently search the Truth by Yeshua and His disciples. To test EVERY spirit and to take NOTHING for granted from anyone at all EVER. People act like fools because they neither know the Word nor obey it, not because they do. And education is no measure of intelligence or wealth. I have studied trinity for a few months now, and i am a true believer, I recieved His mercy, and I was babtised, but I can't see why people cling to this trinity, It does not honour Him of Jesus, and it is very insulting for us little humans to put the holiest of holy in a little box called the trinity. Jesus is Gods only begotten Son, and The Holy Spirit is the Ruach, the Spirit OF God
