this is the newer digital track with the switching lanes option. pretty sweet but overall more cars on same track = less power. 2 car races for the win. Or Else we were thinking about building a 4 lane so everyone gets their own lane

@trackspike64 there are some crosses where you can switch the lane per button on the controller. But you neednt switch the lane; you can also drive on. Sry for my bad english xD

I didn't read all the comments, but some basic info. This is a Carrera DIGITAL 132 set. You can run up to 6 cars manually, and there are lane change tracks. Each car has a digital circuit board that ties it to a controller. Carrera's digital has the "ghost" car feature where you can have up to 8? ghost cars, the maker of the video says there are 4. The run automatically at a set speed. Digital slot cars ARE awesome!

I have an 11 year old scalextric set and you can only put one on each lane or it will mess up. Are you controlling one lane of cars and smeone else is controlling the other

@cool7196 hehe mate im the same as you my scalextrics are 6 years old now only one car per lane but this csalextrics digetial so therte can be many drivers in two lanes

i got the carerra go spiderman set for my son..all the damn thing does is mess up...we constantly have to push them and there are dead spots in the track everywhere..i replaced the little wire mesh tabs that touch the track but still nothing..anyone know?

Ghost cars are spooooky haunted cars from spirits of the past. Seriously though, ghost cars are cars that you can program with the Carrera digital system to cruze around the track at a set speed. They will also change lanes whenever they want.

You don't need 4 lanes for four cars etc... because the lanes can have more than one car on controlled by more than one person and they can switch lanes manually.

1/24 is better for your slot addiction. It is so much more realistic. BUT be prepared to eat up many square feet of real estate for a track. #1 curves suck. Try it, you'll see, it's not a hobby, it's an addiction.
