  • My favorite Eastwood Movie, also. From there it is hard for to pick any order for favorites since I like all his movies; even the ones he just produced and did no acting.

  • 0:30 Why did Fletcher want to kill Josey, I thought they were on the same team??

  • @xaxie1 becuase if he didnt he would be hanged. it was like a pardon

  • "Are you gonna pull them pistols or whistle Dixie?"

One of a about a dozen winners.

  • his new movie J.Edgar wasnt all that great. his best is Mystic River, Then this then Unforgiven

  • I wonder if he is a good shot in real life.

  • 107 people can whistle Dixie.

  • What an awesome film. Thanks for posting!!!!

  • this is what the Jonah Hex movie should have been

  • Best western ever! Thumbs up if you agree!

  • Do yah wanna know what this movie reminds me of Red dead fucking redemption

  • Actually he was head for Texas..

  • Yea i absolutely luv RDR!! XD

  • These old trailers - Lord it's difficult to sit through them they're so cheesy.

  • "Dyin' aint much of a living, boy"

  • unforgiven imo was a bit slow but it was worth the wait at the end, it was epic i liked it because, it was done so well, like they all knew and heard of the guy he used to be, a nasty piece of work and when he steps into that saloon or bar or whatever it was they all shit it

  • love this and unforgiven

  • Favourite Western.

  • this trailer definetley shows how bad ass this movie is

  • excellent film. i reckon it is one of clints best movies that he directs and stars in

  • John Wayne may be The Duke, but Clint is King.

  • @FrodoBaggins1575 Blasphamy!!!! J/k. But for real, no matter how good clint's movies are, the duke is a symbol of all things american and badass. He used to ride a horse with the reigns in his teeth while shooting two guns with only one lung. Stalin, although a big fan put him on a hit list because of his anti-commie movies. He died with 5 pounds of undigested red meat in his ass. He got in fights and won, drank, chewed and smoked with serious cancer for years. You just don't fuck with that.

  • @joker52mlb don't get me wrong. I'm a big fan of the Duke, He's a legend. seen many of his westerns. I just prefer Clint's westerns. haha i've never heard those John Wayne facts, but they're epic. and i agree. John wayne is so all american he has replaced superman alongside apple pie and baseball.

  • @FrodoBaggins1575 I totally agree man, i love Eastwood's movies. Nearly every one could be considered some of the best of all time, especially Josey Wales. This is with out a doubt Missouri's favorite movie. Can't say the same for the duke but it's an unfair comparison. Eastwood was during the revisionist/realist era of film. Back when the duke was in his prime you couldn't even think to make a movie about a confederate guerilla/badass as the lead. Shit's just un-comparible is all I'm saying.

  • @joker52mlb your absolutely right dude. they are un-comparible. Eastwood's westerns were moving away from the classic western hero and into the anti-hero western style after the golden age. his characters were much more morally ambigious than in the Duke's movies. Also the Duke made Way more westerns than clint. my favorite john wayne westerns are probably True Grit, Rooster Cogburn, Mclintock, and the Shootist. Josey wales is probably Clint's best besides Unforgiven and the Spaghetti westerns.

  • @FrodoBaggins1575 Yea! Alot of people disagree with me, but i personally think Unforgiven was the best western of all time. Top 5 in all movies in general, in my opinion. John Wayne kind of paved the way for Clint in a way though. Aside from the spaghetti westerns which mostly kids were fans of, nobody had really seen a true anti-hero western untill True Grit. John Wayne made it possible for the older fans of Golden age classics to branch over into the badassery of the revisionist western films.

  • @joker52mlb yeah I enjoyed Unforgiven, while it wasn't the most fun western to watch, many people consider it clint's masterpiece, it was one of the first westerns i had seen that makes you look at the consequences of the gun fights and violence.and you're right, without john wayne, clint and other western legends probably woudn't exist. it's awesome that people are starting to make westerns again with 3:10 to yuma, Appaloosa and the True Grit remake. for a while i thought it was a dead genre.

  • @FrodoBaggins1575 Yea, It's slow, constant character build. I could have just stared at a wall for an hour, then watched the last ten minutes and said, holy shit that was a great movie. One movie you need to see if you are into the recent westerns is called "The Proposition". It's based in Australia, which may sound lame. But check out the trailer on youtube. BUT!!! WATCH the Austalian version of the trailer. The one made for us and the Brits is lame and doesn't do the movie justice.

  • @joker52mlb haha yeah the ending made the movie for me i was like damn that was awesome. and i have heard of The Proposition, I thought it looked good, but i have never seen it. I'll be sure to check it out. thanks for the suggestion.

  • everytime i watch this film, a video game called red dead redemption is always on my mind

  • @ThrashMetalGuy same here man

  • Damn!I just found out why Clint always squints in that trade-mark,bas-ass way of his.I smoked the exact same cigarettes he does in the movies(California made) and the smoke just kills you!theyre hardcore cigs

  • How this didn't win an oscar is beyond me. I reckon so.

  • "Dying ain't much of a living"

  • my favorite line from that movie is

"are you gonna pull those pistols or whistle dixie?"

  • this trailer doesn't do the movie justice!

  • @Llaryhi I think the trailer is very good like the movie

  • i think clint looks a lot like chuck norris in parts of this movie....except clints actually badass

  • Josey Wales or Blondie are definitely the inspiration for John Marston.

  • John Marston!

Or, I guess John and Red were inspired by Josey Wales.

  • he does look like red from red dead revolver

  • my favorite western id the good the bad and the ugly

  • For what youve done here today ill have to kill that man!

  • Greatest western game ever: Sunset Riders from way back!

  • Just read the book Gone to Texas by Forrest Carter that this movie is based on it was really good. As far as western games go, I recommend Gun or Red Dead Revolver.

  • have you seen the trailers for red dead redemption?

  • @rappednplastic Don't forget to mention Call of Juarez Bound in Blood

    Great game!

  • @rappednplastic well the new red dead redemption is better, you should try it.... i think you already did!

  • @rappednplastic Red dead redemprion ONLY!

  • @Al3xiLaih0 gun was an amazing game too

  • @rappednplastic Red Dead Redemption for sure.

  • @rappednplastic red dead redemption is awesome too

  • @rappednplastic Gun was Awesome. i have yet to play red dead revolver though.

  • Better look for Outlaws... It has a Direct3D patch, and it's a much better game (although rather older).

  • @rappednplastic Red Dead Redemption, maybe? A master-piece of a game.

  • @rappednplastic RED DEAD REVOLVER & RED DEAD REDEMPTION :D

  • @rappednplastic go for RED DEAD REDEMPTION!!

  • @rappednplastic Red Dead Redemption more like. The River Crossing and the top hat salesman.

  • @rappednplastic dont forget rd dead redemption

  • @rappednplastic because of your comment i got the game gun

  • @rappednplastic or Red Dead Redemption :D!!!

  • there's been many actually, just not as well-known. Look for Red Dead Redemption coming out April 2010.

  • Anything with Clint is entertaining!

  • @WildSideProductions1 Except for "Bridges of Madison County" ....totally LAME!

  • I think this is Clint's best acted film.

  • I liked this movie back in the day

  • Clint Eastwood is great in his 1976 western The Outlaw Josey Wales. also stars The late great Chief Dan George, Sondra Locke, & Animal House legend John Vernon. Look for it on DVD.

  • awesome
