well, you can download the 2 episodes from xboxlive marketplace and than you need xbox live

but you can also go buy the game in a shop, than you don't need xbox live only for online playing

Thanks! Just what I needed! I thought you needed to buy the disc, and have an xbox account ready and then you can play.

(Kind of like World of warcraft. You buy the disc, but need internet acess.)

dont sweat it man you just go to best buy or wherever to get the game its called "GTA IV: episodes from liberty city" you purchase the game, bring it home and play it. you dont need online but it gives you 48 hours on xbox live anyway. is one disk and yu chose which game you want to play and.. poof your stealin cars and killing people faster than you can say the games long ass title.
