Yeah the film is a bit edgy..it's meant to make you feel uncomfortable...It's art - it's expression...I loved it! What a unique way to present a story.
This is perhap one of the most strange but incredible film ever made. Although there is alot a question as to why he spent nearly a good part of his life trying to give a message to the world. It reminds me of the bad dreams I use to have when I was kid, never understood, but here he brings all those nightmares to the screen, which I find it to be a very incredible thing to do.
Fantastic film of self...& Jonathan's love for his mother is touching...impressive that it was conceived on a budget of $218.00...love the different formats used through his film!
indelebile movie, I was listening to the music of the movie and wanted to see scene of the movie again, still scary because you know we can all get crazy anytime a day. Courage les gars!
I have watched this doccumentary over and over with early adults that I teach. They do not get it at first, but after watching the entire film they quickly understand. This runs perfectly with three topics in the carriculum. Mental health, Drugs, and Homophobia. Thank you GREATLY to Steve Caouette. I highly reccomend this to everyone.
i effing loved this movie...and the first time I saw Chris Crocker I was shocked...what a fucking piece of shit, fake unoriginal prick...someone needs to expose this...
I'm glad I'm not the only one who sees the Chris Crocker-Tarnation resemblance. I don't thin Chris Crocker "owes" anything to Tarnation though. I see it as more of an homage... Both people are completely narcissistic drama queens who have used film to promote themselves by exploiting their own suffering and the suffering of others in order to further their acting careers.
Well, they gave Chris Crocker his own reality show. He could have Jon on as a guest & thank him for the inspiration. BTW, I totally love & respect Jon & don't think of him as a narcissistic person at all, nay, I find it fascinating that there's someone out there who'd videotaped themselves from age 11 on. It was a work in progress and made for interesting conversation, in the least. Crocker, however, grates my nerves because of that 9/11 video he posted. It was done in very poor taste.
I know. I bought this travesty on DVD thinking it sounded like a fairly interesting story and they threw "David Lynch" in there for good measure. This is narcissim in its worst form and basically a showcase for a third rate wannabe actor/director.

Such a brilliant work of art. I understand his pain with his mother. He is a genius, I pray his genius doesn't kill him.

This was a really moving film, so imagine my dismay at seeing this clip featured next to Chris Crocker's 'Leave Britney Alone' video.

And he said, the life is beautiful...
He's one of the people who can say that life is shit, and not like others.
I admire his life-opinion, his life is really sad.

Yeah, I agree, but it is suprising that despite his life being so sad he claims life to be beautiful... Amazing movie.
