  • A magnificent sword, not too much fished! In the middle of the video I thougt you are going to hew down the tree behind... :)

  • love how it looks. i cannot wait until i can do that

  • If I may ask, is that blade, or is any blade you create and forge battle ready or is it just for a show piece?

  • @VanguardsHammer i believe it's battle ready working this kind of sword at the forge u dont want it breaking anytime soon allso he says he uses alot of time on the swords i'm allmost positive it's battle ready swords ^^

  • @Onlex Ah, very good then. Excellent work, most certainly. 10/10

  • First of all i love sword and have to say that the sword your holding its one of a kind only made by swordsmith's with a certain level of knowledge, i'm an aprendice of swordsmiths and want to learn so much that i all ready know how to temper and how to sharp an sword.

this is just the basics still have to create my symbol and such but, bravo that's and well tempered and sharpened sword.

  • i love the rough look it has from the hammer most likely, good work

  • make a glaymore

  • i want one !!!! give me tutorial pleas guy !

  • What's the PoB on that?

  • @FingonNL 6 inches, This information and more is in the item listing on gun broker .com. read the vid description

  • @saxonforge Looks more authentic as a footsoldier weapon than most other swords in the world ;), just seems to be blunt from this angle though..

  • I WANT ONE.

How much? :3 Do you do custom pieces?

  • I have seen alot of swords from different bladesmiths, like MAD Dwarf Workshop and they have fantastic finishes, but there is something beautiful about this sword that made me watch the video 5 times in a row. Simple and beautiful.

  • @TurboPidgeon Thank you for viewing and for the comment. The cross sections and profiles of my blades are accomplished at the anvil, very minimal polishing is required to bring them to the finished stage. After so much hard work at the forge I am very reluctant to erase this evidence through extensive polishing and thus it has become a distinct look of my craft.

  • This is some really nice work man! I hope I will be able to do such a sword one time. I think this gives a pretty realistic image how swords must had looked in the past, when they were made in masses und without any electric belt grinders. Keep going buddy! Maybe you could do a video on how you did that...

    Kind Regards

  • @99pppo I agree it's cool, but some of those things you believe are incorrect. First, some medieval smiths had labor saving machines such as grinders that were powered by water or pedals instead of electricity, and all had specialized hand tools. They weren't less able than us to make them smooth and polished, it just took them more time and work. Swords were not mass produced until the renaissance either, and in medieval times it was a very customized and personalized creation process.
