The brain is an amazing thing, and a recent psychological study showed that a person who turned blind, or lost a leg etc, were just as happy or happier than they were before they got their "disability" -which is why I put it in " " Happiness is the most important thing of it all.

Hey Miss, I had an Eye injury several monthes ago and I was basically blind for about 4 days. I'm not gonna call you brave or give you a whole lot of props because you got to live life how you live it. However, i think its awesome that you do what you do and you found work arounds for keeping yourself active. When i was blinded i just wandered around in the darkness til they healed.

I have known about audio technology since elementary school when I opened one of those programs accidently. I am really glad people are able to find other methods and means to participate online. You are the first person I have encountered who has used the internet with a disability and I think it is something that should be encouraged.

I had a workmate who used Heather. Hearing her voice again was sort of freaky. The first thing I thought was "wow, that sounds just like a woman I used to work with!"
Interesting. When I was young I wondered what it "looked" like to go blind (I just thought of it like seeing black.) I think that shows how sight-dependent most of us are. As someone who used to be able to see, I'm sure you have interesting perspectives on the issue, compared to someone born blind.

Thanks. Even people who have been blind from birth may one day have the ability to see. The brain is an amazing thing, and able to adapt to many types of input. There are people who are able to "see" with their tongue. even though sighted people would probably not experience this as sight.
It took me about a to understand YT. It's not blind user friendly and doesn't work as well as other sites with Supernova. I use the tab key to navigate, SN reads all text to me.

Science is evidence based, if there is enough evidence to support a hypothesis, it is peer reviewed (a very rigorous process) and only if it survives, will it be developed into a theory. It requires no faith, whereas religion only requires faith. Faith is believe without or even despite the evidence...
As for science going the wrong way, think about that the next time you go to the doctor, turn on your computer, your airconditioning, your car.

Nor is science concerned with dethroning your god. What happens is that everywhere god was posited, such as the heavens, life, the universe. science finds only natural processes, no evidence of god. When there is no evidence of a thing, it is safe to assume the null hypothesis. Look this up, it's too complicated to get into here.
You are destroying your own god, by making claims about it regarding the natural world. When science does not find god where you tell us he is, whose fault is that?

As for science being god, I think not. Science is a METHOD, not a being, it is human made and has actually yielded tangible results. Your god hasn't created computers, hasn't sent us to the moon, hasn't come up with cures for tons of diseases, although he does claim to cause them.. Take some college courses on science when you graduate, you'll be surprised how science actually works

"we" mock "you" because "you" really believe "you" could "beat" us in our game by logically reasoning to prove God. Besides, saying science is a tool to weaken faith is like saying water is a tool to extinguish fire. Knowledge and faith contradict each other. Knowing is not believing.

Before we go on: I do not question your beliefs, neither am I trying to refute them (you defined them as irrefutable). I also expect you not to attack my beliefs. We just wouldn't do it the way the other one would. And science simply evolves based on facts. It's not our "fault" that more and more knowledge eliminates faith.

Well unlike GOD, (in religion) Science can at least say it's closer to the truth, after all science has proven lots of things, has done lots of good. If God is powerful as it claims to be, then instead of science coming in and finding cures, treating the sick, helping people live through a disease, why don't God just do all of that, he is God after all.

First, Jesus taught about serving masters as mostly a way of life. Hey Miss, I had an Eye injury several monthes ago and I was basically blind for about 4 days. I'm not gonna call you brave or give you a whole lot of props because you got to live life how you live it. However, i think its awesome that you do what you do and you found work arounds for keeping yourself active. When i was blinded i just wandered around in the darkness til they healed.

I have known about audio technology since elementary school when I opened one of those programs accidently. I am really glad people are able to find other methods and means to participate online. You are the first person I have encountered who has used the internet with a disability and I think it is something that should be encouraged.

Interesting. When I was young I wondered what it "looked" like to go blind (I just thought of it like seeing black.) I think that shows how sight-dependent most of us are. As someone who used to be able to see, I'm sure you have interesting perspectives on the issue, compared to someone born blind.
So, having watched your video, and having done tech support for my parents, I think it's safe to say that for using the internet, being blind is less of an impairment than being over 50.

Thanks. Even people who have been blind from birth may one day have the ability to see. The brain is an amazing thing, and able to adapt to many types of input. There are people who are able to "see" with their tongue. even though sighted people would probably not experience this as sight.

i have a question:
when you are browsing, on say, youtube, how do you know where everything is, where to click, in other words, how do you navigate?

It took me about a to understand YT. It's not blind user friendly and doesn't work as well as other sites with Supernova. I use the tab key to navigate, SN reads all text to me.
Maybe I'll make a video...

lol if youve got any of those monkeys going spare it would be useful lol. Glad you have people to help with some of the stuff. I had originaly thought you were born blind n you are blatently more educated or learned than me so i was wonering about how you had come to that. I think you may not realise how intersting you are to probably alot of us. You are a very intelligent individual, certainly a very beautiful person, and not to sound to sucky uppy a very inspring person.
