I'd love to think that all gay Republicans are either traitors or out of their minds or both - wouldn't it be nice if the world was that simple? But I'm afraid it's not. Personally, I have very little sympathy for Republican politics but I can sort of see how a gay person might be conservative in terms of economics, international politics etc. and attach a sufficiently high value to those fields of politics to overrule other issues like gay marriage.
