yeah he's not a great singer but i feel passion in this performance, if you don't like LCD Soundsystem there is plenty of other things on youtube to go watch
@benallen12 Well, it's very awkward watching him live. He really is a terrible singer. He seems to be making angry demands at his band while he's singing which is uncomfortable to watch.
@nirvgorilla If you live in a world where the mariah careys and the celine dions are the best singers there is, well, yeah, maybe he's a bad singer. Fortunately I don't live in that kinda world
Every time I watch this video it brings me back to that night, watching it live. which makes me realize.... I can NEVER watch this video too often! PERFECTION.
They nailed this. Absolutely nailed it. The guitar entry, the synth entry, the unified chanting, the howl, the subtle placing of anti-Waldo with his awesome dancing, everything was perfect. Damn.
BEST version by far!! at 2:34 is the exact moment when i finally got the term "guitar hero" coz when it comes in like a hero to this song....bingo! instant goosebumps. One of the best songs in the last 10 years.
@Ilovethebible1993 Your handle suggests that you are not only religious, but were born in 1993. These pieces of information render your opinion useless.
@thewhopinkfloyd Not. At. All. If you bring a bag, you'll have to open it. They'll pat you down extremely lightly. You can sneak in anything you want. I've seen people get entire fifths through there, bags of weed, CamelBaks filled with rum, etc. I personally took a 16 oz. flask and just put it inside my shorts (like, shoved between my shorts and my boxers above my rear pocket). It's so absurdly easy. Same for any festival I've gone to, including Lollapalooza.
It was 94 out that night. I got separated from my friends but had a few joints of the blue-green Kali bud with me, which was shared generously with all my new friends.LCD is arguably the greatest live act in the world. Look at the crowd it was multiple orgasms for 100 minutes. They were shooting Transformers 3 that night and a great smoke ring rose in the Chicago haze. I am going to NYC to say goodbye.
@irishace11 I'll never forget it, the first of 4 shows I saw last year. Pitchfork was great but the fall shows had something extra, I dunno. See ya at the garden..
6:35 I just love the guy's expression during the "I can still come home to this" line; and how the guy next to him, in the glasses, has no idea what the lyrics are.
I drove on a whim from Indianapolis, told my work I had food poisoning, jumped the fence into the VIP section then ran into the crowd, had to drive back home that night and had to go to work the next morning.
LCD Soundsystem live changed my life. Such a fantastic show. stood/sat/stood/sat for a good 2 hours waiting to get close. WORTH IT. the crowd did create a microclimate, though. super humid and hot down low, but when you jumped it was super cool. bizarre.

@wxmanify He did know the words.... if you actually read his lips. James Murphy just prolonged "home", which he doesn't do on the album version.
